A woman came to give thanks to Luang Pho Somwang at Wat Klang Bang Phra, Nakhon Pathom, after winning the 5th prize twice consecutively. She kindly revealed "lucky numbers," hoping to strike it rich in the 1/8/26 lottery draw.
On 23 Jul 2026 GMT+7, it was reported that at Wat Klang Bang Phra (Luang Pho Somwang) in Bang Phra Subdistrict, Nakhon Chai Si District, Nakhon Pathom Province, a large number of people came to pay respects and ask for blessings from Luang Pho Somwang continuously since yesterday morning (22 Jul). With the Buddhist Lent holiday approaching, which includes several days off, many laborers from Nakhon Pathom and nearby areas, as well as those working far away in Bangkok and neighboring provinces, took the opportunity to visit and pay respects before returning home, creating a lively atmosphere rather than a quiet one.
Meanwhile, it was reported that Ms. Rattana Nakornsaen, 30, originally from Roi Et Province but working as a clerk at a company in Bangkok, brought 20 trays of boiled chicken eggs and 25 trays of fresh eggs by taxi to offer to Luang Pho Somwang. Upon arrival, she informed the staff who arranged for the offerings to be placed in front of the large statue of Luang Pho Somwang.
She then lit incense sticks to announce her vow, placing incense until all sticks were used, before approaching the 30-meter tall main statue of Luang Pho Somwang to offer flowers and worship items, lighting incense again to announce her presence before applying gold leaf to the statue's right hand.
Afterward, she sat down to pray for good fortune again, then picked three eggs from a basket, showing the numbers 016. She prayed aloud, asking for a big lottery win to provide for her family, as she planned to return home during the Buddhist Lent. She also vowed that if she won a big prize, she would return after the Lent to pay respects again, bringing offerings of pig's head, rice, and fresh eggs—items favored by Luang Pho Somwang.
Ms. Rattana Nakornsaen shared before leaving that this visit was to fulfill a promise made when she came in mid-June with a work colleague who recommended Luang Pho Somwang as a powerful figure granting luck and fortune to many. She had asked for lottery luck and promised to return with eggs if she won. Miraculously, after buying lottery tickets, she won the 5th prize twice on 1 Jul 2026. She then bought another set of tickets on 16 Jul 2026 and again won the 5th prize twice, reinforcing her belief in Luang Pho Somwang's power as she had requested.
Today, remembering she would return home to visit her parents in Roi Et and hoping to bring them money, she brought eggs to give thanks and prayed again for luck. If fortunate again, she promised to return with offerings after her trip. Before leaving, she purchased lottery tickets from vendors at the temple.
