Lottery enthusiasts persevered through wind and rain to perform a ritual seeking 'lucky numbers' from the Termite King, hoping for luck in the 1 August 2026 lottery draw.
On 26 July 2026, in Village 2, Yanri Subdistrict, Kabin Buri District, Prachinburi Province, lottery fans and gamblers ventured into the forest at dusk despite unfriendly weather to perform a ritual requesting lucky numbers from the Termite King.
They lit incense to pay respects to the guardian spirits, raised a five-offering tray to ask the Termite King for fortune amid strong wind and rain, then dropped two sets of number papers from 0 to 9 into the termite mound's entrance, anxiously awaiting the numbers while fearing the approaching downpour.
After more than two hours, the Termite King brought up two number slips showing 31. They waited nearly another hour, but no more numbers appeared. They accepted these two digits to use for the upcoming lottery draw on 1 August 2026.
