A young delivery worker at a private company won the 4th prize lottery, receiving nearly 100,000 baht after praying for luck from Phra Ngern Phra Thong. Wat Sawang Arom, Khae Thao. He did not forget to fulfill his vow, lighting auspicious incense and receiving lucky numbers for the 16 Aug 2026 draw.
On 13 Aug 2026, reporters reported that at Wat Sawang Arom, Khae Thao, Khun Kaeo Subdistrict, Nakhon Chai Si District, Nakhon Pathom Province, a lucky person who received fortune from Phra Ngern Phra Thong, a sacred Buddha image of the temple, continuously brought offerings such as drinking water, red soda, and rice to make merit.
Similarly, Mr. Wirat Amphon, 40, from Krathum Baen District, Samut Sakhon Province, an online product delivery worker for a company, gained luck when delivering goods to a customer at Wat Sawang Arom. He stopped to pray for fortune from Luang Pho Phra Ngern Phra Thong and won two 4th prize lottery tickets worth 80,000 baht. He then brought 74 dozen red soda bottles, 20 dozen drinking water bottles, and garlands to make merit.
After completing the merit-making ceremony, Mr. Wirat revealed that on 31 Jul 2026, one day before the lottery draw, he delivered goods to a temple staff member. Afterward, he noticed many people inside the temple and asked a temple worker why there were so many people near the lottery date. He was told it was normal for people to come seeking lucky numbers near the lottery date and was advised to pray to Phra Ngern Phra Thong. He bought a set of flowers, incense, and candles, including one auspicious incense stick, then worshiped the Buddha image, praying to receive a motorcycle to use for deliveries. He promised to bring offerings if granted luck. Lighting the auspicious incense until it burned out, he saw the number 319, so he bought two lottery tickets with that number from a temple vendor and went home.
The next day, he checked the lottery results and found he did not win any lower-tier prizes. Upon checking further, he discovered he had won two 4th prize tickets. Overjoyed, he told his wife and shared that he had prayed to Phra Ngern Phra Thong and vowed to buy a motorcycle. He then cashed the tickets for 80,000 baht, bought red soda, drinking water, and rice to fulfill his vow, and planned to use the remaining money to purchase the motorcycle as intended.
Mr. Wirat also said that after making merit, he lit auspicious incense again to seek lucky numbers for the next lottery draw, receiving 989. He vowed for more work opportunities and said if he won again, he would use the money as capital to start a business. He then went to buy lottery tickets with those numbers to try his luck.
Additionally, Luang Pho Pae, a famous monk and abbot of Wat Sawang Arom, invited the public to attend a memorial event for the late renowned folk singer "Ploen Promdan," a national artist who passed away two years ago. Together with the Thai Music Association and Thai Luk Thung Singers Association, famous singers from past and present will gather for the event from 28 Aug to 6 Sep 2026, with free admission.
