On 14 Aug 2026, reports stated that on the previous day (13 Aug), Surin rescue personnel and municipal emergency responders received a call for help from Mr. Sak, owner of house number 352 in Mueang District, Surin Province, after spotting a large python more than 5 meters high on the roof. The volunteers brought snake-catching equipment to investigate and assist.
At the scene, a house with a roof about 5 meters high, they found a large python coiled on the metal roof frame. The rescue volunteers climbed a ladder and used equipment to catch the snake.
