Two lucky vendors repay vows to Thao Wessuwan and Ai Khai at Wat Don Yai after winning hundreds of thousands; sales soared to millions before they didn’t miss asking for "lucky numbers" to try their luck this draw
On 20 August 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that Wat Don Yai in Khlong 8, Lam Luk Ka Subdistrict, Lam Luk Ka District, Pathum Thani Province was crowded with many spiritual devotees from all directions continuously coming to pay respects and pray to the sacred figures inside the temple, especially Thao Wessuwan and Ai Khai, who attract strong faith from followers coming to pray and repay vows throughout the day.
The prayers vary, mostly focusing on luck, career, health, and business. These beliefs and successes are personal experiences and faith.
Ms. Waraporn Tobuangam, owner of Lam Sam Wholesale from Bang Pu, Samut Prakan Province, brought 100 roses and offerings to repay a vow to Thao Wessuwan after receiving a large fortune exceeding one hundred thousand baht, with store sales reaching millions.
Ms. Waraporn said she has visited many times to pay respects and repay vows, expressing strong faith and plans to return regularly. Besides luck, her store’s sales have continuously grown despite economic challenges affecting many businesses, with Lam Sam Wholesale steadily receiving more orders.
Sales reach seven figures monthly with a rising trend. Recently, she rented and enshrined a Thao Wessuwan statue at both her store and home. After receiving her wished-for fortune, she came to repay her vow and before leaving lit incense sticks, drawing numbers 22 and 75 to take for the next lottery chance.
Ms. Jirapha Nampim from Joyja Bubble Tea shop in Khlong 2, Lam Luk Ka District, came with offerings and 500 firecrackers to repay Ai Khai after previously praying for financial and business success, which she achieved.
Ms. Jirapha said she prayed to Ai Khai for finances, later receiving a sum of money that eased her family’s burden. Initially, her bubble tea shop had few customers, but after praying, customers steadily increased to about 700-800 cups daily at peak times. Satisfied with her prayers' results, she came to repay the vow and before leaving lit firecrackers, drawing numbers 22 and 233 to try her luck again.
