On 28 Aug 2026 at Ruesi Nen Shrine, Western Ring Road No. 9, Potang Subdistrict, Bang Sai District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, many Thai and foreign visitors came to pay respects to sacred objects within the shrine, including the world's largest Ruesi Phrommaet hermit, the Spirit of Wealth Child, the nine-faced Thao Wessuwan, the Takian tree spirit, the monkey spirit in Jindamanee cave, and the first Naga Scale Hermit. Some brought offerings such as pumpkins, red soda, rice, water, sweets, and toys to fulfill vows, offered fruit and draped cloth on the tiger statue of Ruesi Phrommaet in the great wealthy pose, and had the master of Ruesi Nen inscribe Buddhist power mantras, bless the golden-faced Lakshman, and anoint their hands to open the wealth fortune for auspiciousness.
According to an interview, Mr. Tae, 39, a delivery rider from Nonthaburi Province, brought red soda to fulfill a vow to the Spirit of Wealth Child after praying online via mobile phone and winning one second prize lottery ticket worth 200,000 baht.
Mr. Tae said he encountered the Spirit of Wealth Child online, and a friend told him that many people had successfully prayed online and won frequently. So, he focused his mind, recited the Spirit of Wealth Child's incantation, and originally only hoped for a little luck but ended up winning the second prize. Today, he came to fulfill his vow as promised.
Before leaving, he drew auspicious ping pong ball numbers from the Spirit of Wealth Child: 8, 4, and 9, to use for the lottery draw on 1 September 2026.
