It is believed that the 'Mae Takian' spirit possessed a woman participating in a Dharma practice, who danced as an offering to a 200-year-old Takian tree and provided lucky two- and three-digit numbers. Lottery enthusiasts took note to try their luck in the 1 Sep 2026 Rayong traveling lottery draw.
A strange event occurred near the lottery draw day at Phlong Sawai Temple, Chak Phong Subdistrict, Klaeng District, Rayong. Yesterday (28 Aug 2026), about 20 villagers came to join Dharma practice and a retreat at the temple, as it was the full moon day of the ninth lunar month. Amid a peaceful atmosphere, an incident suddenly captured the attention of all participants.
A local woman named Yai Yan, about 60 years old, appeared to be possessed by something. She began dancing continuously, then walked down from the pavilion and stopped by the roots of an ancient Takian tree estimated to be around 200 years old, which locals had donated to the temple and was kept beneath the pavilion.
While dancing, the woman loudly said, “If you take me, then take me and abandon me, throw me away without care.” This caused a stir among the people present, with some believing it was communication from the 'Mae Takian' spirit, according to local beliefs.
She then gave the number 94, prompting nearby lottery enthusiasts to quickly write it down on paper and their mobile phones. Dharma participants then lit incense and offered flower garlands to help calm the woman.
Later, when the incense sticks burned out, the number 046 appeared, while the number 852 was also mentioned and interpreted as a lucky number. Lottery fans combined these into sets: 94, 04, 46, 06, 046, and 852, with some saying they were fully preparing to try their luck based on these numbers, following their beliefs.
Some villagers said that if they win a major prize from these numbers, they will unite to build a shrine and renovate the Takian tree area beautifully, so the public can come to pay respects and find spiritual solace.
