Lottery enthusiasts rejoice as the "Holy Water Bowl Number" at Wat Huai Sub brings luck. Locals flocked to buy number 136, winning the three-digit lottery prize across the board. They lit firecrackers in thanks and obtained "lucky numbers" to try their luck again in the 16 Sep 2026 draw.
At 18:00 on 1 September 2026, at Wat Huai Sub in Namatum Subdistrict, Phanat Nikhom District, Chonburi Province, the atmosphere was lively. Over 20 villagers who had won the government lottery gathered, bringing flowers, incense, candles, and 20,000 firecrackers to perform a thanksgiving ceremony inside the main hall of Luang Pho Yai.
The fortunate winners proudly showed their winning lottery tickets, many having purchased ten tickets each of number 136 and winning the three-digit back prize. Each received 40,000 baht, creating a joyful and celebratory mood among those present for the ceremony.
Ms. Mam, 40, one of the lucky winners, revealed that she had previously come to make merit at Wat Huai Sub and prayed for luck from Luang Pho Yai. She noticed the number 36 appearing in the holy water bowl and used that number to buy government lottery tickets, eventually obtaining ten tickets of number 136.
When the lottery results were announced, number 136 won the three-digit back prize, making all ten tickets she purchased winning tickets. She received a total prize of 40,000 baht, which brought her great joy. She then returned to the temple to perform the thanksgiving ceremony and pay respects to Luang Pho Yai.
Additionally, several other villagers also won with number 04, each buying ten tickets. Some were especially fortunate, buying a set of five tickets and winning both the three-digit front number 346 and the two-digit back number 04 on the same ticket, receiving a total prize of about 30,000 baht. This was considered a double win.
Villagers revealed that Luang Pho Yai has long been deeply respected by the local community. Many come continuously to pray for luck, career advancement, and business success. Some make vows concerning land sales or business achievements and return to give thanks when their wishes are fulfilled.
After completing the thanksgiving ceremony, the villagers collectively lit 20,000 firecrackers, creating a loud celebration around the temple. They then focused on the firecracker tails, which revealed the numbers 79 and 083.
Lottery enthusiasts did not miss the chance to photograph and record these numbers to use as guidance for trying their luck in the government lottery draw on 16 September 2026, amidst the lively atmosphere and strong faith of those participating in the thanksgiving ceremony.
