A young man from Phatthalung bought 18 leftover lottery tickets and was lucky to win the 1st prize, receiving a lump sum of 12 million baht. He revealed that he enjoys taking gambling risks.

Recently, in Phatthalung province, a lucky man won the 1st prize and received 12 million baht. His name is Mr. Watcharakorn Thongmak, also known as Ohm, husband of Ms. Sutaduang Inraspong, or Mind, both 33 years old, residing in Mae Khri Subdistrict, Tamot District, Phatthalung.
Mr. Watcharakorn Thongmak, or Ohm, said he normally buys government lottery tickets every draw from local wholesalers. On the last day before the draw, he called to ask how many tickets were left. The owner said 18 tickets remained. He decided to buy them all; they charged him for 16 tickets and gave 2 extra since he is a regular customer who always buys tickets ending with the stall’s last numbers. He didn’t specify any particular number. When he won the 1st prize, he was very happy, and his wife called to share the joy even more.
Previously, he had won 15,000 baht in the lottery. He enjoys gambling because his family is in debt to the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) and rents a house to run a grocery store to support the family. Fortunately, winning the 1st prize means he can pay off debts and take care of their three children and his ill father.
Ms. Sutaduang Inraspong, or Mind, the wife, said she was happy to win the prize and never expected this day. Now that they have money, they plan to buy their own house, open a grocery store, and let her husband open a motorcycle repair shop, which he enjoys. They will also save money for their young children’s education.
