On 1 Oct 2025 GMT+7, a reporter noted that in the final stretch before the lottery draw, gamblers in Village No. 4, Yan Ri Subdistrict, Kabin Buri District, Prachinburi Province, held a ceremony to request lucky numbers from a small Phaya Bung hole. The hole appeared recently flooded, as the surroundings remained waterlogged. The ritual, performed at night as in previous occasions, involved lighting incense to notify local spirits to grant fortune to participants. They lifted the 'Khan 5' offering, addressed Phaya Bung, then dropped two sets of papers numbered 0-9 into the hole.
After waiting over an hour, Phaya Bung brought up three sheets of paper, revealing the numbers 1, 6, and 3. Gamblers will use these numbers for their lottery bets according to traditional beliefs for the 1/10/69 (1 Oct 2026) draw.
