Thousands of disciples participated in the thanksgiving ceremony for Ajarn Ruesi Nen Thatphutthakun, examining "lucky numbers" from firecracker tails during the ritual to consecrate the Ruesi Head amulet, hoping for luck in the 1/11/26 lottery draw.
On 22 October 2026 GMT+7, reporters described the atmosphere inside Ajarn Ruesi Nen Thatphutthakun’s hermitage on West Ring Road No. 9, Pho Taeng Subdistrict, Bang Sai District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, where a thanksgiving event was held for Ajarn Ruesi Nen Thatphutthakun’s 39th birthday, attracting many disciples to offer their congratulations.
At 08:09 GMT+7, a consecration ceremony was held for the Ruesi Head amulet made of 108 sacred herb materials, "Good Luck Wealth" edition, officiated by Luang Pho Pae from Wat Sawang Arom, Nakhon Pathom, and other renowned monk masters.
At 09:09 GMT+7, a ritual honoring the spirits was performed by Luang Pho Pae, Phra Ajarn Rachan Ariyo, a famous preacher, and Ajarn Ruesi Nen Thatphutthakun. Before the ceremony began, lion and golden dragon dances were performed by disciples of Luang Pho Pae, followed bya blessing dance presented before the statue of Ruesi Phrommet, the revered hermit spirit. After the ritual, attendeeswere invited to scatter marigold petals in front of Ruesi Phrommet’s statue and to light firecrackers as an offering.
Additionally, Ajarn Ruesi Nen donated 100,000 baht to Bang Sai District to help flood-affected residents and awarded scholarships of 1,000 baht each to 97 students, totaling 97,000 baht.
Before leaving, attendees closely examined the firecracker tail numbers from the offering to Ruesi Phrommet for good luck. The numbers were 30 and 610, which some planned to use for lottery bets in the 1 November 2026 draw, according to their personal beliefs.
