WorldNexGen 2026 is an international short course program born from Thai and South Korean collaboration, focusing on nurturing new generation leaders through in-depth learning in economics, policy, business sectors, and geopolitics.
The program runs for a total of three weeks, from 7 January to 6 February 2026, featuring an exchange of teaching between Thailand and South Korea.
Currently, the inaugural cohort includes 20 selected undergraduate students from both Thai and Korean backgrounds, representing diverse fields such as business, economics, law, and political science. Selection criteria include academic skills and leadership qualities.
The WorldNexGen curriculum integrates academic and practical approaches, covering ASEAN's economic overview, Thailand's role, foreign direct investment (FDI), target industries like the digital economy, as well as political systems, law, and public policy formulation.
This project results from cooperation among Thammasat University, Seoul National University (SNU), and KH Academy, representing three sectors in education.
Burapha Sanguanwong, founder of KH Academy and the main project operator, explained that KH Academy aims to create a financial knowledge platform for the new generation.
"We want Thai students to gain deeper perspectives on Asia, while future leaders from SNU get to know Thailand beyond tourism and agriculture. This project builds a global network of next-generation leaders and serves as Thailand's long-term soft power," Burapha said.
He also shared a vision to expand the WorldNexGen network to other countries such as Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, the United States, and France to build a global leadership network based on the concept of Unity in Diversity.
From the Thai university side, Professor Dr. Supasawat Chatchawan, President of Thammasat University, highlighted the importance of this collaboration, emphasizing Thammasat's commitment to forming global academic alliances.
He noted that WorldNexGen offers a crucial opportunity for students to exchange knowledge and cross-cultural perspectives, which are essential in today’s world.
Professor Sangook Park, Science and Technology Policy professor at Seoul National University, said the program includes guest lectures, student presentations, and study visits.
SNU is preparing to welcome Thammasat students traveling to South Korea in early February to provide a comprehensive learning and cultural experience.
Another key supporter from the private sector is Dr. Harald Link, Chairman of B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited (BGRIM), a partner of SNU, who emphasized the business sector's role in developing human potential.
BGRIM has operated in Thailand for 148 years, evolving from a pharmacy business to a leader in Thailand's infrastructure sector.
BGRIM's recent success includes investing in renewable energy projects in South Korea, with an investment budget of 5 billion US dollars, over 100 billion baht.
Additionally, BGRIM aims to achieve a total Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) capacity of 10,000 megawatts by 2030, following a business philosophy based on compassion, and is committed to supporting education projects and investing in human development alongside business growth.
This multi-sector collaboration develops a program that is not merely "studying abroad" but a platform to cultivate new leaders and develop quality personnel for the global economic stage.
KH Academy was founded by B.W. Wisdom Company Limited and is an extension of "Kaohoon Business News," an investment media outlet. KH Academy aims to expand its educational role by creating courses that nurture young people to be career-ready with the skills and leadership qualities needed for future organizations.
