Thaimart x Thairath Launch Shortcut for Thai Entrepreneurs to Prime-Time Screens, Turning Viewers into Buyers

Thaimart held a major launch event “Thaimart Seller App” Building on their partnership with Thairath under the concept “Thaimart x Thairath: Build Brand, Build Nation” Alongside the launch of a new live program “Shop, Thai People” During prime time to turn “viewers” into “buyers” and enhance credibility for Thai brands nationwide

Not-Phanthawat Nakvisut, CEO of Thaimart Marketplace Co., Ltd. (Thaimart) revealed four key reasons for partnering with Thairath Group

The first reason is a shared vision to work for the benefit of the country, or the National Agenda

The second reason is Thairath is a national media outlet that has stood alongside Thai people for over 70 years with deeply rooted credibility

The third reason is Thairath’s comprehensive media platforms—including newspaper, digital TV (Thairath TV), and online media—address all needs of Thai entrepreneurs who lack not only sales channels but also “brand building” and “consumer trust”

And the final reason is an agreement from day one to focus on helping entrepreneurs build brands, not just achieve short-term sales

Meanwhile, Watchara Watcharapol, Co-CEO of Thairath TV and Thairath Online, added that this collaboration stemmed from recognizing shared pain points of Thai entrepreneurs—such as the need for fair trading space and the necessity for Thailand to have its own e-commerce platform rather than relying solely on foreign platforms. Thai entrepreneurs have many quality products but lack access to a large customer base.

Thairath leverages its strengths in content production, media presence, and nationwide audience to merge with Thaimart’s platform to create a new ecosystem that helps scale, offers opportunities, and equips Thai businesses for real growth.

“From the big picture, Thairath’s role is not just to be a news provider, but to be a partner to Thai entrepreneurs and everyone who wants to build brands, trust, and opportunities to reach target audiences without large budgets. We have every channel to empower Thai entrepreneurs through a new dedicated program: “Shop, Thai People,” which is innovative and helps entrepreneurs create brands and continue selling products,” Watchara said.

The key highlight of this partnership is the launch of a new program “Shop, Thai People” with Mancharita Petchklai, Marketing Director of Thairath TV and Thairath Online, describing the show as a complete break from traditional home shopping and TV shopping formats.

“Normally, other home shopping shows have to cut to commercials after 7-8 minutes of selling. But this is the first show to sell non-stop for a full hour online and another hour on TV, keeping viewers engaged without a chance to change channels,” Mancharita said.

Key features and highlights include:

  • Large viewer base: Thairath TV and Thairath Online have a combined audience of over 30 million per month, ready to convert viewers into buyers directly.
  • Two-hour live broadcast without commercials: A full two-hour live broadcast from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, with no ads, allowing entrepreneurs to tell stories, promote, sample, demonstrate, and build trust continuously.
  • Dual-screen live phenomenon: Live broadcasts simultaneously on TV and online from 9:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. via the Thaimart app and Thairath TV Facebook, then lifted to Thairath TV screen from 10:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Viewers can scan QR codes on screen to order within one minute.
  • Best prime-time slot: Airing right after “Thairath News Show,” the channel’s top-rated evening news program, effectively targeting Thai viewers who like to watch news and shop before bedtime.
  • Proven success case: Previously, Thairath ran a trial show “Broken Basket” that generated over one million baht in sales within one hour, including products like “Madam Phat” durian farm owner, the popular “Magic Chair Ta Sa-wang,” and “Ajarn Beer” chili paste—proving Thairath viewers have strong buying power, are easy to purchase from, and are familiar with scanning to buy directly from TV screens.
  • Professional sales team support: Thai entrepreneurs will be supported by Thairath’s famous news anchors and influencers like Mint-Orchaphon, Cherry Rattanapaitoon, Jack Green, Yu Yee, and Pam Ji, who will co-host and energize the show, effectively acting as national-level endorsers for free, alongside regular sales promotions.

Phanthawat emphasized the value entrepreneurs gain by live-streaming for two hours during prime time on digital TV nationwide, a rare and costly opportunity. The benefits go beyond sales to include engagement, branding, and a “trust badge” (similar to Facebook’s blue checkmark) guaranteeing quality.

Thaimart has pre-purchased these advertising hours for over 36,000 registered entrepreneurs, providing them a shortcut to rapid growth without having to build small fan bases from scratch.

“Selection criteria for entrepreneurs joining “Shop, Thai People” focus on quality products, genuine intent to build brands, storytelling ability, and future potential—not just one-off sales. Product categories will rotate daily, and later this year, the “Thaimart Academy” will launch to select and nurture high-potential entrepreneurs more intensively,” Phanthawat said.

All three executives shared concluding thoughts on business direction, noting that digital transformation and online shopping habits are no longer new but have become ingrained since COVID-19, especially among older and wider demographics now routinely shopping online. Meanwhile, TV remains relevant but has shifted to online platforms like YouTube, with statistics showing over 98% of Thai people still consume TV content.

. Phanthawat reiterated a business truth for today’s era: “Online is survival, not an option.” He urged Thai entrepreneurs to seize this chance to shift from OEM factories to building their own brands within “Thaimart” to create value and business freedom, also inviting Thai consumers to support Thai products to keep capital and data circulating domestically, helping reduce the digital economy trade deficit sustainably.

Therefore, Thaimart’s creation of this space is like building a “first home” that offers Thai entrepreneurs a place to experiment, learn, and grow steadily. In reality, customers don’t always look for the cheapest products but value products. If entrepreneurs focus on creating value for their brands in this home, one day we will have strong brands leading to true business freedom.

Meanwhile, the program “Shop, Thai People” is set to open a new chapter in Thai TV and e-commerce history, premiering on 31 August 2026 on Thairath TV Channel 32 and the Thaimart app.

“We are not just a marketplace but the owned media of Thai entrepreneurs. A good business is not the one that makes the most money, but the one that gives FREEDOM to its owners,” Phanthawat concluded.
