Police General Dr. Natthathon Prasoonthorn, NBTC's legal division, presiding over the closing ceremony, stated this marks the first time the NBTC Office has organized a legal training course related to communications operations. It represents a significant first step and a successful achievement aligned with the course objectives.
The training received cooperation from executives across government agencies, the private sector, and the NBTC Office, who participated in the program and shared knowledge to develop laws related to communications operations, including broadcasting, television, telecommunications, and satellite services.
The course also covered other related operations to enhance law enforcement, strengthen comprehensive oversight vision of communications activities, and is hoped to serve as a mechanism to develop legal personnel capable of adapting to changes in the digital era.
Mr. Nottachart Jintakanon, Director of the Institute of Knowledge and the program director, revealed that the first batch of the training program to develop skills in enforcing laws related to broadcasting, television, and telecommunications—informally called #LawShift—involved 40 executives from government agencies, the private sector, and the NBTC Office. The course spanned three months.
The curriculum encompassed academic theory, practical applications, and experience exchanges led by distinguished experts with strong knowledge, expertise, and experience. The goal was to foster development that keeps pace with rapid digital technology changes and ensure effective law enforcement.
The #LawShift course represents an important initial success in the NBTC's commitment to developing legal personnel and practitioners by enhancing knowledge, skills, and understanding to improve law enforcement efficiency in the communications industry. This advancement will facilitate adaptation to changes in the digital age and foster collaboration to update laws to align with current circumstances and support diverse perspectives in future legal reforms.
