Future Vibes announced a significant partnership with Insomniac, the global entertainment company behind Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), one of the world's largest and most influential electronic music festivals. They confirmed their mission to drive long-term large-scale music festivals in Thailand.
The goal is to enhance Phuket's potential to become a world-class destination for music, culture, and high-value tourism, while reinforcing Thailand's role on the international music festival map.
Building on the overwhelming success of the inaugural event in 2025, EDC Thailand's return will follow a five-year strategic plan (2026–2030) aiming to position Thailand as a leading electronic music destination in Asia. This long-term music experience is projected to generate more than 12.5 billion baht in economic value and attract over 460,000 international tourists during the festival period.
It is also expected to increase inbound tourism to Phuket by more than 25% in January. Designed as a long-term festival rather than a one-off event, the first year saw over 50,000 foreign tourists attending, each spending an average of about 50,000 baht, contributing tangible economic benefits to Phuket and Thailand. The 2026 event will focus on promoting local economic participation and environmental responsibility through partnerships with community allies and serious waste reduction initiatives.
EDC Thailand 2026 is scheduled for 16–18 January 2026 at Rhythm Park in Phuket, under the main concept Bigger, Brighter, and More Immersive Than Ever. This year, the event will significantly expand in area, production, and experience, marking the first time full-scale production standards matching EDC Las Vegas are brought to Thailand.
The event will feature the kineticFIELD stage, the heart and symbol of EDC, with evolved light and sound; circuitGROUNDS, distinguished by a massive LED wall and dazzling light effects; stereoBLOOM, showcasing diverse electronic music genres; bionicJUNGLE, a house music stage set in lush natural surroundings; and the boombox Art Car, providing musical experiences that support local and regional artists.
Beyond the stages, EDC Thailand 2026 will double the event area, transforming Rhythm Park into a wonderland filled with immersive experiences. A key highlight is the launch of Downtown EDC, a cultural hub offering Thailand-exclusive experiences that blend global EDM culture with Phuket's unique spirit through features like Center Tower, Wedding Chapel, Kandi Casino, Diva Show, and Karaoke Battle, enriching the festival's fun, participation, and cultural vibrancy.
Additionally, there will be the Binary Beach zone, a space inspired by sea anemones celebrating individuality, joy, and fulfillment through music and design. Highlights include Mini Tropical Stage, Ya-Dong Bar, Workshop Zone, Wellness Area, and art installations spread across areas such as Daisy Fields, Bamboo Village, and Pixel Forest.
EDC Thailand 2026 emphasizes sustainability and collaboration as core to its long-term vision. It will work closely with government agencies, private partners, and local communities to ensure responsible management, efficient logistics, and minimal environmental impact through community-involved waste reduction projects and local job creation across services, transportation, production, and event management.
EDC integrates music, art, lighting, and technology to redefine live entertainment as a multidimensional celebration, highlighting unity, creativity, and self-expression under its core philosophy All Are Welcome Here.
