Dr. Tawarat Sutabutr, Director of the Office of Knowledge Management and Development (Public Organization), or OKMD, said that after promoting upskilling and reskilling to increase Thai productivity through Learn Lab Power 2025, this platform has proven the power of ideas and innovation to build an AI metropolis.
The final 30 teams underwent intensive incubation and advanced to the Final Pitching stage competing for over 200,000 baht in prizes. Learn Lab Power 2025 focuses on creating opportunities for youth, new generations, and entrepreneurs to apply AI knowledge and technology in building business models that generate income, reduce expenses, and enhance Thai capabilities through lifelong learning and digital technology.
The Learn Lab Power 2025 competition was held under the main concept of promoting lifelong learning, income generation, cost reduction, and skill development for youth, workers, and entrepreneurs. There were 60 teams with 250 participants applying, most aiming to use AI to drive the tourism and health industries, followed by food, gaming, and music sectors.
The first-place winner was Team Dino cut with an AI platform that transforms long clips into short highlights, reducing problems and costs for content creators. Second place went to Team Speech Elephant for their app incorporating gamification to stimulate patients with communication disorders and speech impairments. Third place was awarded to Team Tourthai, whose platform combines AI with government data to create a Smart Trip Planner that analyzes user interests to plan travel.
“This final event summarizes our commitment to developing AI-capable personnel. We observed diverse business model presentations resulting from concrete upskilling and reskilling efforts. We expect the awarded projects to become prototypes or business models that can be further developed to create real economic value for the country,” he said.
Meanwhile, Mr. Thanawut Thimpitak, or Nong Earth, a biomedical engineering graduate from Mahidol University and creator of Dino cut, said the idea started from following the G-Spotted livestream channel, which faced a shortage of video editors. He conceived using AI technology to analyze content and language context to automatically select video highlights.
The key advantage of the project is its speed, far surpassing manual editing. For example, an 8-hour podcast video normally requiring 4–6 days to edit manually can be completed by Dino cut’s AI system in just 10 minutes. Currently, Dino cut supports Thai language files only but plans to expand to ASEAN neighbor languages in the future.
Beyond the intense competition, the event also offered engaging skill-building activities. Participants joined a Life Portfolio workshop to learn how to create practical lifelong portfolios, along with free professional profile photography services to enhance their portfolio images.
At the same time, the Young Power forum invited young innovators who have grown steadily in the market, including Mr. Theerapat Thitisottikul, CEO & Co-Founder of OneCharge Solutions, a leading Thai EV platform startup, and Mr. Kanit Theerachattamrong, co-founder of RAWMAT Coffee, a successful young entrepreneur. They shared experiences to inspire startup teams and young people attending the event.
