ETC Partners with BWG and Kaeng Khoi IEAT to Drive Waste-for-Seedling Model

Mr. Supawat Khunwarawinit, Managing Director of Earth Tech Environment Public Company Limited (ETC), said the Waste-for-Seedling project is designed under the Circular Economy concept, aiming to make community waste management a tangible and accessible issue. A key highlight is allowing the public to exchange sorted waste for quality tree seedlings, promoting proper waste separation discipline from the start.

Our goal is to sustainably cultivate environmental awareness among youth and local residents. This project is not just about increasing tree numbers but about motivating people to recognize the value of waste materials, which can be further recycled or converted into clean energy (Waste-to-Energy) in the future.

This project is a crucial piece for ETC and the Better World Green Public Company Limited (BWG) group in conducting business according to ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) principles, aiming to improve quality of life and contribute to reducing the impacts of climate change for a sustainable and livable world.

The atmosphere at the event held at Kaeng Khoi Industrial Estate (Ban That Subdistrict) was full of cooperation. Executives and employees from ETC and BWG joined forces with representatives from the Kaeng Khoi Industrial Estate Authority, government agencies, community leaders, and local residents to plant 140 trees immediately and distribute over 1,500 healthy seedlings to the public.

A special aspect of this project is the collaboration with Saraburi Tree Nursery Station, Department of Forestry, to select 10 species of long-lived trees best suited to the local soil and climate, such as Kana, Pridi Yellow, Poinciana, Yang Na, and Tabaek, ensuring high survival rates and long-term growth.

This cooperation reflects the success of integrating industry and community (Industrial-Urban Symbiosis), with Kaeng Khoi IEAT playing a key role in transforming the industrial estate’s image into a green area that sustainably restores moisture and increases oxygen for nature.
