Mr. Sara Lamsam, Chief Executive Officer of Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited, said that the ongoing collaboration between Muang Thai Life Assurance and Counter Service Company Limited in offering microinsurance products over several years has been well received by customers and the public, reflecting success in making insurance accessible and relevant to everyday life.
This year, the company collaborated with the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) to closely study consumer behavior and needs, finding that people desire higher coverage especially during travel seasons and long holidays but still want affordable premiums without financial burden. This led to the development of the Year-Crossing Microinsurance Policy priced at 20 baht, which increases coverage by 2.5 times compared to the previous version, effectively balancing value and peace of mind for the public.
Furthermore, Muang Thai Life Assurance and Counter Service extended care to CP All employees through the 10-baht Year-Crossing Microinsurance Policy to support frontline staff in enjoying quality time with their families with greater confidence. This partnership underscores Muang Thai Life Assurance’s commitment to expanding insurance access to all Thai people.
Under the Democratizing Insurance policy, the goal is to provide all population groups equal access to basic coverage, aligning with the OIC's policy to promote insurance as a key tool for managing accident risks and enhancing the long-term stability and quality of life for Thai people.
Ms. Pianthong Chueadrasamee, Managing Director of Counter Service Company Limited, stated that during the New Year festival, a time of travel and celebration, Counter Service recognizes the importance of encouraging people to plan risk management before travel so every family can fully enjoy their rest.
To make coverage easily and conveniently accessible, they offer policies with premiums of just tens of baht for coverage worth hundreds of thousands.
