Settle Debt Quickly, Move Forward Ms. Nartnaree Ratpat, Managing Director of Sukhumvit Asset Management Company Limited (SAM), revealed that following the official launch of the 'Settle Debt Quickly, Move Forward' project on 5 January 2026, aimed at assisting individual small debtors with unsecured non-performing loans such as credit cards, personal loans, and overdue secured debts exceeding 90 days (NPLs) as of 30 September 2025,
with total principal and interest debt not exceeding 100,000 baht, the project enables a systematic debt restructuring process. It was found that within the first three days of registration opening, nearly 90,000 people had registered through the Bank of Thailand's website.www.bot.or.thandwww.sam.or.thcombined.
The 'Settle Debt Quickly, Move Forward' project offers two debt restructuring options with flexible terms allowing debtors to select repayment conditions based on their capacity: 1. The 'Pay, Settle, and Finish' option lets debtors pay part of the principal to immediately close the debt.
2. The installment repayment option allows debtors to pay over a maximum of three years, with waivers on outstanding interest and interest during the program. This ensures customers gain the maximum benefit from participating in the project.
SAM urges interested debtors to register promptly through the designated channels, as this is a one-time special project with a limited three-year timeframe. Delayed participation, especially under the installment plan, may reduce the repayment period remaining, since each debtor's installment duration depends on when they enter the program.
After successful registration expressing intent to join, debtors will receive an SMS notification of the evaluation results at the phone number provided during registration, and SAM will follow up with details on the next steps.
