NHK WORLD-JAPAN Enhances Comprehensive Understanding of Japan at Thai International Travel Fair

NHK WORLD-JAPAN, the international service of NHK, Japan's public broadcaster offering news in multiple languages including Thai, participated in the 31st Thai International Travel Fair held from 22 to 25 January at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, attracting significant visitor interest from the first day.

At the NHK WORLD-JAPAN booth, visitors experienced globally accessible services and content beyond Thailand, along with activities designed to enhance understanding of Japan’s tourism, culture, cuisine, lifestyle, and travel preparation. The booth was open throughout the four-day event, with the main highlight on the first day being the stage activities.

Under the theme 'Enjoy Japan More! with NHK WORLD-JAPAN,' the well-attended event invited notable Thai personalities to share information, experiences, and travel tips about Japan, catering both to longtime enthusiasts and newcomers getting to know the country.

The stage activities included useful discussions on topics like disaster preparedness for safe and confident travel, insights into Japanese food culture, and fun challenges such as natto eating contests, creating a friendly and lively atmosphere.

The stage was hosted by Mr. Chairat Thamya from NHK WORLD-JAPAN Thai service, with guests including Kitti Singhapat, Attha Bunnak, and Beam Sensei, who shared diverse perspectives and experiences related to Japan.

The NHK WORLD-JAPAN booth was open from 22 to 25 January 2026, 10:00 to 21:00 hrs, featuring activities like making specially designed metal badges, selecting favorite ramen shops via NHK WORLD-JAPAN programs, a stamp rally showcasing traditional Japanese arts, viewing programs on monitors, and Japanese language learning guidance, including distribution of the textbook 'Let's Learn Japanese' for participants completing surveys.

This participation reflected NHK WORLD-JAPAN’s role as a media bridge connecting Thai people with Japan through accessible, practical information useful before and during travel.
