Ms. Thanaporn Tantiyanont, Managing Director of Siam Paragon Shopping Center, said Siam Paragon is a global destination— the top choice for Thai people and tourists worldwide—and an important landmark in central Bangkok, especially as the ultimate venue for celebrating various festivals, notably the Chinese New Year.
In 2026, Siam Paragon, in partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Kasikornbank, is joining forces to create a spectacular Chinese New Year celebration from 14 to 18 February 2026. Highlights include rare cultural performances from China, special shows by leading Thai artists, and dazzling large auspicious lantern displays at Park Paragon, along with the opening of the Chinese Heritage Pavilion at Fashion Hall, 1st floor.
Additionally, there will be an exclusive surprise event titled “An Elegant Encounter with Zhu Zhengting,” featuring the famous Chinese superstar Zhu Zhengting, a handsome and talented figure who will delight fans with close-up interactions and joyful moments.
Another unmissable highlight is Siam Paragon’s art installation, The Fortune Guardians, located in the Jewelry and Cascade zones on the M floor. This landmark art piece for the Chinese New Year depicts a pair of lions celebrating with lively, meaningful dance movements.
The installation reflects a balanced power between wisdom, prosperity, heritage, and protection, symbolizing auspicious blessings for the new year. It serves as a gateway inviting positive energy, prosperity, and joy to flow and spread among people, welcoming tourists from around the world. The work was designed by Sutthipha Kamyaem, an artist and illustrator known for collaborations with international brands.
Meanwhile, Bangkok continues to hold the top spot as the world's most visited city by international tourists, attracting over 30.3 million visitors, according to the Top 100 City Destinations Index 2025 by Euromonitor International. Its popularity stems from culture, cuisine, and attractions, reflecting its true potential as a global tourism hub.
As a Global Landmark Destination, Siam Paragon welcomes between 120,000 and 150,000 visitors daily, with numbers rising to 150,000–200,000 on major festival days.
“This year, Siam Paragon is fully committed to delivering exceptional Chinese New Year experiences for tourists, including cultural artists, entertainment, shopping benefits, and a wide range of dining options from renowned street food to Michelin-starred restaurants. Our goal is to attract quality traffic, boost spending, and stimulate economic activity during the Chinese New Year festival,” she said.
