Marketing Roundup: Supersports Teams Up with Under Armour to Advance Running Market

Ms. Wiyada Buranapakorn, Senior Assistant Managing Director of Marketing at CRC Sports Company Limited under Central Retail, said the Supersports 10 Mile Run has proudly reached its 15th year, remaining a key milestone promoting a healthy lifestyle and fostering a sustainable running community. This year, they have elevated the event's scale by partnering with global brand Under Armour under the name Supersports 10 Mile Run 2026 Presented by Under Armour to deliver the best running experience in central Bangkok.

After only a few days of registration opening, the event has attracted overwhelming interest from runners beyond expectations, especially for the 10-mile distance, which sold out within just three days. This reflects that running remains a popular sport embraced by all groups, with runners confident in the event’s standards, ready to create memorable experiences. The event offers full facilities along the route and adds exclusive special activities with brand partners, including Coffee Run and two exclusive training sessions to prepare runners before the actual race day.

Mr. Natthaphon Panichkul, Director of Under Armour Thailand, said the running market in Thailand continues to grow steadily. Under Armour focuses on developing quality products to meet the needs of runners at every level and is very pleased to be the main sponsor of Supersports 10 Mile Run 2026 Presented by Under Armour.

All runners will receive high-quality race shirts from Under Armour. A highlight for 10-mile runners finishing within the set time is receiving a special Finisher shirt from Under Armour as a memento to celebrate their achievement.

This year’s race is held under the concept Beat Your Mile, Make Your 10 Mile GREEN Memory, underscoring a commitment to organizing environmentally and socially responsible running events sustainably. Supersports continues its environmental mission, aiming to communicate with 7,500 participants through sports activities conducted under sustainability principles covering environmental, social, and efficient management dimensions. The organizers emphasize reducing environmental impact.

They implement a Carbon Offset Program to compensate for greenhouse gas emissions generated by the event compared to previous years, targeting at least a 2,569-kilogram CO₂ reduction, with clear monitoring and evaluation. The event promotes waste reduction at the source through Eco-Friendly & Sustainable Event initiatives via four main activities, such as:

Using 10,000 refillable cups to reduce single-use plastic cups, along with establishing 100% waste sorting points across all event areas to enhance waste management efficiency and support systematic recycling processes.

Organizing a Green Pacer & Sweeper team using flag systems for course management to improve route control and enhance runner safety throughout the event; using BIO Plastic race packs with the concept of Reuse - Reduce - Recycle; and completely eliminating traditional plastic bags to tangibly reduce environmental impact.

They separate waste according to the 3R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) from the start and ensure proper disposal after the event to promote sustainable and nature-friendly waste management. These approaches reflect the organizers’ dedication to developing the run as more than a sports activity but as a model environmentally conscious event creating positive long-term social impacts. The race is held under the theme Beat Your Mile, Make Your 10 Mile GREEN Memory.

The Supersports 10 Mile Run 2026 Presented by Under Armour includes two distances: 10 miles (16 kilometers) and 5 miles (8 kilometers). Participants will receive a race pack with souvenirs and sponsor benefits valued at no less than 2,500 baht, along with a Speedtech Run Race Tee from Under Armour worth 1,390 baht. Additionally, 10-mile runners finishing within the designated time will receive an extra Finisher shirt from Under Armour valued at 1,390 baht.

There are also TOP 100 awards for the top 100 male and female runners, special trophies for the top 3 overall finishers in both general and age categories, and total prize money of 110,000 baht for the top 3 overall finishers in the 10-mile race.
