Marketing Roundup: Opening of Architect 69, ASEANs Largest Architecture and Construction Technology Expo

Mr. Ase Sukyang, President of the Association of Siamese Architects Under Royal Patronage, said Architect '69 is the largest construction technology product expo and the most influential architecture exhibition in ASEAN. This year’s event runs from 28 April to 3 May 2026 at the Challenger Hall, Impact Muang Thong Thani, under the theme SATI: WISDOM: PROMPT, focusing on establishing new wisdom foundations amid changes in work and life requiring adaptation.

With AI technology playing an increasing role, the event serves as a platform to elevate Thai architecture to the most comprehensive and complete international level. The total exhibition area is 75,000 square meters, with 70,000 square meters dedicated to showcasing products and technologies for design and construction, including nearly 1,000 leading Thai and international manufacturers and brands.

Another approximately 5,500 square meters are allocated for exhibitions and activities by the association, featuring works from four architectural professional organizations: the Association of Siamese Architects Under Royal Patronage, the Interior Designers Association of Thailand, the Landscape Architects Association of Thailand, and the Association of Thai Town Planners. Over 120 architectural firms, members of the association, and more than 40 educational institutions nationwide participate in the grand exhibition.

Due to the appeal of exhibitions, educational forums, and comprehensive construction product and service displays, Architect '69 is expected to attract strong attendance from both domestic and international visitors, totaling over 325,000 people throughout the six-day event.

Mr. Jaturon Kingminghae, Chairman of Architect '69, added that the event is more than just an exhibition; it is a milestone aimed at inspiring and transferring knowledge to drive the profession and creative economy long-term. It demonstrates to the global stage that Thai architecture has the potential to adapt and grow steadily amid rapid technological changes.

Furthermore, the event aims to be a leading innovation exhibition for construction and architectural design, proudly positioning Architect Thailand as the largest in ASEAN. It seeks to elevate the professional field to international recognition and achieve the status of The Most Influential Architecture Exhibition in ASEAN.

The highlights and activities of Architect '69 are divided into five main parts: 1. THEME EXHIBITION, the main exhibition; 2. FORUM, the seminar section; 3. THE FOUNDATION, the academic exhibition; 4. INTELLIGENCE & COLLABORATION PLATFORM, showcasing outstanding works and professional collaborations;

5. ACTIVITIES AND SERVICES, the area for activities and services. Notably, the THAI INTELLIGENCE exhibition reflects the event's core theme. Other exhibitions include ASA ALL MEMBER - Thailand Only, reflecting architecture in the Thai context, and ASA EMERGING YOUNG ARCHITECTS IN THE AGE OF NEW DISRUPTIONS, showcasing works by emerging architects in an era of change.

The FORUM seminars are divided into two groups: 1. ASA INTERNATIONAL FORUM, an architectural seminar featuring international keynote speakers who present and exchange ideas reflecting the relationship between WISDOM (human intelligence) and NEW INTELLIGENCE (new intelligence)

through perspectives and experiences of renowned architects on various interesting topics; and 2. ASA INSPIRATION LAB, gathering leading designers, architects, and experts from Thailand and abroad to share experiences, ideas, and innovative trials driving the future of design.

Mr. Supaman Marka, Deputy Managing Director of TTF International Co., Ltd., the organizer of Architect '69, revealed that this year's event continues to receive strong support from exhibitors despite challenging economic conditions. This year, 913 companies have confirmed participation, with international exhibitors accounting for 10%.

The main continents represented are Asia at 99.5% and Europe at 0.5%, including countries such as China, Japan, South Korea, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Italy, Romania, and Croatia. This reflects ongoing expansion of business networks and technology exchange in the construction industry. The six-day exhibition is expected to stimulate 22 billion baht in economic turnover within the design and construction sector.

Meanwhile, pre-registration data indicate the event's potential as a regional platform, with 95% of visitors domestic and 5% international. Of the international visitors, 78.34% are from Asia,

followed by Europe at 12.03% and America at 5.08%. It is anticipated that over the six days, more than 325,000 visitors will attend, with over 70% being professional visitors such as architects, designers, engineers, contractors, real estate developers, and construction material distributors—key decision-makers in the industry.

With nearly 1,000 exhibitors and 70% of visitors being professionals, Architect '69 is not just a trade show but a business opportunity platform expected to generate over 22 billion baht in transaction value, playing a significant role in driving the regional design and construction industry.
