“Krunkao GROUP”: The Major Mission of “Ohm Pantapol” Promoting “Artists as Partners,” Not Employees

Previously, Ohm Cocktail or Ohm Pantapol Prasarnrajkit, officially announced his withdrawal from managing Gene Lab and 19, subsidiaries under GMM Music, while the company continues to manage artists and other independent labels not affiliated with GMM Music.

Recently, he made a grand debut for “Krunkao GROUP” under the management of Ohm Pantapol Prasarnrajkit, marking a new step in the music industry at the Krunkao GROUP “INTO THE OTHER HALF” Press Conference & Free Concert.

Ohm Pantapol Prasarnrajkit depicted that in the fast-paced creative world, everyone aims to move forward, but for him, the best "step" isn’t the fastest or the furthest, but rather moving forward by just "half a step."

He drew inspiration from a character in the cooking cartoon "Iron Wok Jan" who believes that cooking is about anticipating the diner’s needs just half a step ahead. Moving too far ahead risks losing the audience, while lagging behind means falling out of trend. Thus, advancing by half a step is a humble and balanced pace—leading while staying alongside everyone.

"Also, 4.5 or half of nine represents the seismic vibration level at which humans begin to feel an earthquake. Therefore, 'Krunkao' today is not just a name but a commitment to create vibrations that deeply resonate with every listener."

During the event, Ohm Pantapol shared his vision on the current role of record labels by posing the key question, “Are record labels still necessary?” This reflects the digital era changes where artists can create, distribute, and grow independently, requiring labels to adapt to the new context.

From Record Labels to Service Providers

Since record labels are not "essential needs"—artists can grow on their own—he stated that they are transforming into “service providers.” They serve as professional mentors with specialized skills to support areas where artists may lack expertise or time.

The music business combines "art" with "commercial art," making value creation more complex than purely self-expressive art. Behind Cocktail’s 23 years of success are many professionals—from producers, songwriters, photographers, marketers to accountants and lawyers. Krunkao Group was created as an optimal ecosystem for these professionals to collaborate, allowing artists to focus fully on creativity without worrying about backend matters, which the group manages based on individual needs.

Thus, Krunkao GROUP recognizes this trend as a crucial future direction: record labels and artists are “equal partners,” working together as mutual supporters, while the works remain fully owned by the artists.

Artists contribute effort and creativity; investors contribute capital.

Meanwhile, labels act as mechanisms behind the scenes to establish systems and enhance capabilities that propel artists to their peak. Believing that artists with different styles deserve tailored management and services aligned with their identity, direction, and potential, Krunkao GROUP officially launched four labels: BRIDGE, 9Arkkhan, MACHg, and Ennead.

Managed under a Partner-to-Partner system,

“We aim to erase the stereotype of the unstable performing arts career and turn it into a dignified, sustainable profession, focusing on intellectual property management for passive income to support artists long-term. Under the Partner-to-Partner logic, we are not old-fashioned patrons where investors dominate, but partners who invest jointly—one provides capital and intellect, the other ideas and talent. We work equally, transparently, and allocate benefits fairly.”

, Ohm Pantapol also plans to transform Krunkao into a fully digital organization by developing a database that allows artists to securely check income, schedules, and contracts themselves, reducing tension and gaps between investors and artists. He believes, “If we don’t take good care of them, artists should have the freedom to choose service providers aligned with their vision.”

Hence, the formation of four labels under Krunkao GROUP

consists of

1. MACHg led by Kong Huayrai and Bank Rattawit, redefining the luk thung and Thai pop music label concept with 7 artists including Kong Huayrai, Mai Patcharee, and talents from MACHg Audition such as Num Jaisan, Chachom Saowakon, View Valnika, plus newest artists Goky Kwisara and Prang Prangtip.

2. 9 Arkkhan an alternative label focusing on supporting unique new artists, embracing non-mainstream music and artistic diversity. Founded by Jai Ichankorn Pungkiatrasamee, it houses 8 artists including Little John, Manutsawee, Saman, Wichitchon, Manop, Gandharva, PINKIE, and band TaitosmitH.

3. Ennead led by Ohm Pantapol and Pond Krisda Wittayakhajorn from BeOnCloud, Ennead focuses on developing modern artists beyond singing roles, enabling them to expand into various entertainment industry positions.

4. BRIDGE a platform for nurturing and pushing artists beyond musical boundaries, under Ohm Pantapol’s guidance, representing 19 artists such as Three Man Down, Tilly Birds, Flure, The Darkest Romance, AYLA’s, ASIA7, Jigsaw Story, Hard Boy, ADORA, NINEOKMAI, QEETHA, fit aroon, Par-T, Famoso, M DAOSAI, ossey, AYEJAY, Dena Euprasert, and miller.

This launch of Krunkao GROUP is not merely a shift after Ohm Pantapol’s exit from his former label but a revolution in record label philosophy—becoming a truly professional service provider establishing a Partner-to-Partner work ecosystem.

The ultimate goal of Krunkao Group is not to capture a larger market share but to expand the "cake" of Thailand’s music industry together, prioritizing the interests of artists and workers to ensure elegant and sustainable growth for all.
