Andrew Ho, President of Operations for the Asia Pacific region at Acer Inc., stated that the Acer Edu Summit Asia Pacific 2026, themed "Future-Ready Learning: AI, Innovation, and Human-Centered Education," was held in Jakarta from 22-23 April 2026, with delegations from 12 countries including Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand.
The event provided a platform for educators, policymakers, and technology industry leaders to exchange perspectives and apply technology to genuinely enhance learning outcomes, aligning with Acer's 'The Next Breaking Barriers' strategy announced during its 50th anniversary to break technological limits in all aspects of life, including education.
The Acer Edu Summit Asia Pacific reflects Acer's commitment to using technology to shape the future of education and to foster international cooperation within the region to move forward together.
We believe meaningful change happens when innovation truly meets people's needs. This event marks another step for Acer to help educators, institutions, and policymakers collaboratively build a comprehensive, future-ready learning system across the region.
Over the two days of the Acer Edu Summit Asia Pacific 2026, the program featured panel discussions, presentations, and knowledge exchanges on effectively using AI in education, covering key topics such as personalized learning, digital literacy, and the evolving role of teachers in a rapidly advancing technological era. The focus was on approaches where technology and educators work side by side to create an inclusive, adaptable, and sustainable education system while encouraging new ideas that unlock learners’ true potential.
A highlight this year was the presentation of the latest AI education work from MIT Media Lab’s City Science group, which launched the Learning Foundry for AI and Robotics (FAIR) project. Dr. Michael Lin from MIT and Dr. Wolfgang Gruel from Stuttgart Media University shared approaches to using AI for personalized, scalable learning that addresses challenges in modern urban life.
Additionally, Jun-Yu Fan, President of Chang Gung University of Science and Technology, presented a curriculum titled “The Algorithm of the Nursing Soul,” demonstrating the transition from rote learning to AI-enhanced clinical perspectives in nursing education.
In terms of practical application, Altos Computing, an Acer subsidiary, demonstrated a comprehensive AI infrastructure featuring the high-performance Altos BrainSphere™ R680 F7 AI Server, alongside AI Workstations P330 F6 SE, P130 F10, and GB10 F1 models.
This was complemented by the Altos aiWorks GPU resource management platform and the Altos aiGeni AI lifecycle management platform, integrated with OpenClaw to accelerate Enterprise Agentic AI adoption, enabling educational institutions to seamlessly progress from infrastructure setup to AI Agent implementation.
For modern classroom devices, Acer introduced the latest Copilot+ PCs powered by Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 3 processors, including the TravelMate P4 Spin 14 AI, TravelMate P4 14 AI, and TravelMate P2 AI series, designed to be lightweight and versatile, meeting the needs of both teaching and learning.
The TravelMate P4 Spin 14 AI features a touchscreen and stylus to enhance classroom interactivity, while the TravelMate P2 AI series offers reliable performance and long battery life, supporting flexible and connected learning environments.
