Bangkok Ready to Host Asias Premier Strategic Textile and Apparel Sourcing Event

Bangkok is preparing to host Asia's global strategic sourcing platform for textiles and apparel. The 2nd Asia Sourcing Show 2026 is set to revolutionize sourcing in the new supply chain era.

Mr. S. S. Sarwar, Group CEO of CEMS-Global USA & Asia-Pacific and organizer of the 2nd Asia Sourcing Show 2026 (Textiles & Apparel) and Global Sourcing Summit 2026, stated that during this pivotal time for the global textile and apparel industry, the event will take place from 3–5 June 2026 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani Exhibition and Convention Center in Bangkok. The goal is to elevate Thailand as the new global sourcing production hub.

This event is organized through collaboration between CEMS-Global USA and the ASEAN Federation of Textile Industries (AFTEX). Returning this year with a larger scale, stronger international participation, and clearer strategic direction, it gathers leading Asian producing countries under one roof to meet global sourcing demands.

This year's event is significantly enhanced through global and regional partnerships, including AFTEX as Co-Organizer; the International Apparel Federation (IAF) from the Netherlands as a strategic partner; the China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Textiles (CCCT) as a partner; and Thai organizations such as the National Federation of Thai Textile Industries (NFTTI) and Thailand Textile Institute (THTI) as supporting bodies.

Mr. Jamnong Nawasamitwong, representative of the ASEAN Federation of Textile Industries (AFTEX) in Thailand, said the 2nd Asia Sourcing Show 2026 will play a crucial role in advancing Thailand as the World Sourcing Hub—a global connection center for the textile and apparel industry. The event is not just an ASEAN platform but an international stage offering Thai entrepreneurs opportunities to expand trade networks and connect with global partners.

For the first time, the International Apparel Federation (IAF), a leading global apparel industry organization from the Netherlands, is supporting the event in Thailand. This reflects Thailand's potential and readiness to become a future hub for textile sourcing and production. The event will also provide business matching to connect manufacturers, buyers, and international investors, creating new long-term opportunities for Thailand's textile industry.

Dr. Chanchai Sirikasemlert, Director of the Thailand Textile Institute (THTI), said the Thai textile industry is facing multiple challenges, especially in 2026, which marks a turning point. After the first two months, Thailand's textile trade deficit increased due to rising production and energy costs, alongside intensifying global market competition.

Particularly affected are the dyeing sector and SME operators. However, the 2nd Asia Sourcing Show 2026 and Global Sourcing Summit 2026 present key opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs to access international buyer networks, learn about new industry trends, and expand cooperation in innovation, technology, and sustainability to enhance global competitiveness.

Mr. Suthee Khositwongsakul, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Federation of Thai Textile Industries (NFTTI), said the global textile industry is increasingly competitive, requiring Thai operators to proactively adapt in production standards, trade regulations, and environmental requirements to maintain competitiveness and build buyer confidence internationally.

The 2nd Asia Sourcing Show 2026 and Global Sourcing Summit 2026 will be vital platforms linking Thai businesses with international trade networks, offering opportunities for business matching, investment, and new collaborations to restore Thailand's prominent role in the global textile industry.

The event also receives support from AFTEX member associations from nine ASEAN countries, along with industry organizations, chambers of commerce, and export councils from leading textile and apparel producing countries in Asia, establishing a global sourcing platform for the modern industry.

Amid structural changes driven by geopolitical factors, taxes, supply chain risk diversification, trade adaptation, and sustainability, the event is designed as a powerful Asian B2B platform.

It connects producers from leading Asian countries with buyers worldwide—including Europe, North America, South Asia, Southeast Asia, East Asia, and Australia—to create business opportunities that can lead to actual contracts. This is more than a trade show; it is a comprehensive sourcing ecosystem comprising:

• Garment manufacturers, yarn, and fabric producers

• Suppliers of raw materials, trims, and accessories

• Private label and full-package service providers

• Multi-country sourcing all in one place

• Direct access to decision-makers throughout the supply chain

The event features joint exhibitions covering the full value chain, including the 2nd Asian International Apparel Sourcing Show 2026 and the 2nd Asian International Yarn & Fabric Sourcing Show 2026, spanning yarn, fabric, garments, and private label, making it a true one-stop sourcing destination.

Additionally, the Global Sourcing Summit 2026 will be held concurrently, gathering industry leaders, policymakers, global brands, and experts to discuss key topics such as supply chain resilience and risk diversification, sustainability and ESG, trade policies and market access, digital technology, AI, and smart factories. The European Apparel and Textile Confederation (EURATEX) from Brussels has confirmed participation, underscoring the event's global significance.
