
The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) stated that organizing the Thai Halal Pavilion reflects its role in driving sustainable growth in Thailand's halal food industry, while creating trade opportunities and expanding markets internationally.
Amid the global halal market's growth trend, supported by the continuously increasing Muslim population worldwide, and the rising popularity of halal food products among general consumers who value quality and production standards.
The Thai Halal Pavilion is held under the project to promote the image of halal food products at the 2026 food exhibition, gathering 19 halal food and beverage entrepreneurs from five southern border provinces (Songkhla, Satun, Yala, Pattani, and Narathiwat) selected by a committee comprising the Songkhla Provincial Commerce Office, the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Centre (SBPAC), Prince of Songkla University, and the Office of the Private Education Commission, featuring a variety of product groups.
These include processed fruit products, bird's nest drinks, curry pastes, and snacks, among others. Additionally, a booth from the Central Islamic Council of Thailand provides information on Thailand's halal standards and certification to buyers, importers, and visitors from around the world.
Moreover, the Pavilion features the highlight activity, the Halal Cooking Show, which offers demonstrations and tastings of halal food by four nationally renowned celebrity chefs. They showcase the charm and diversity of Thai halal cuisine by creating special menus twice daily throughout the event.
Awards Dr. Mahatthana Amphonpisit, Managing Director of the Government Housing Bank (GHB), received a certificate of appreciation for contributions to the Royal Thai Police and the Border Patrol Police Command on the 73rd anniversary of the Border Patrol Police Command's establishment. Ms. Wanitharat Boonsupanit, Assistant Managing Director of Marketing Communications and Corporate Image, accepted the award on behalf of the bank.
The award was presented by Police Lieutenant General Rungroj Thakoorpunyasiri, Commander of the Border Patrol Police. It reflects GHB's role in driving social projects that improve the quality of life and education for students and teachers under the Border Patrol Police Command, a vulnerable group in remote areas, for over 19 years.
Support Ms. Kanita Sasawatayu, CEO Designate and Acting Senior Executive Vice President of Strategy, Business Development, and Human Resources Group at PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP), together with executives, donated 15 million baht for the ninth consecutive year to the Thailand Sailing Association under Royal Patronage.
Admiral Phairoj Fuengchan, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy and President of the association, received the donation. This support aims to develop the potential of Thai sailors for international competitions, enhancing Thailand's reputation. The donation ceremony was held at the Naval Command Headquarters, Old Palace, Bangkok.
PTTEP has continuously supported the Thailand Sailing Association since 2006 by promoting athletes' participation in international competitions abroad, arranging foreign experts to provide technical guidance, supplying training and competition equipment, and supporting the organization of significant international sailing events.
