Unicharm Thailand reaffirms its mission to build a society of coexistence under the campaign Love Your Possibilities: Create a Sustainable World. The campaign promotes possibilities for a sustainable planet, highlighting a cycle of care that transforms small behavioral changes into tangible results for sustainability.
Mr. Tadashi Nakai, senior executive of Unicharm Corporation Japan and managing director of Unicharm (Thailand) Co., Ltd., stated that every possibility can lead us to better change. The concept of Love Your Possibilities serves as a guiding principle applied throughout all processes.
From selecting sustainable raw materials, developing innovations to reduce energy consumption, to collaborating with communities for long-term environmental care, we believe that significant change does not always start from grand actions but from mindful choices by individuals. This campaign focuses on creating an Open Experience Space to convey the organization’s four key pillars covering the entire supply chain.
1. PEFC: The Conscious Beginning — Sustainable origins. Activities that avoid pollution and protect resources from the start. Unicharm encourages and promotes consumers to choose products made from raw materials certified by PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification), as a way to contribute to daily environmental care.
2. Energy Saving: Eco-friendly processes that reduce carbon emissions. Unicharm has joined an energy efficiency improvement project, with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) as consultant, continuously upgrading energy-saving equipment throughout its factories.
Alongside promoting clean energy use in production, Unicharm has reduced carbon emissions by 31,196 tons of CO2, equivalent to planting 1.4 million trees, saving electricity comparable to 20,800 households annually, and decreasing road vehicles by over 6,800 cars per year.
3. Circular Economy: A lifestyle of recycling and visible care in daily life. Introducing waste management under the Clean • Collect • Care concept: cleaning and sorting plastics (Clean), returning them at Droppoints (Collect), to participate in the resource care cycle (Care), turning used items back into the system.
Unicharm has expanded Droppoints in various locations such as universities, hospitals, communities, and partners, now totaling over 23 points. Workshops allow participants to recycle Unicharm product wrappers into keychains, reinforcing that product designs facilitating easy disposal help prevent waste.
4. T-VER Project: Breathing life back to the planet and improving lives. For long-term natural resource care, Unicharm participates in a carbon credit forest management partnership with the Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage, driving community forest restoration by developing projects across 2,000 rai.
Committed to reviving the earth and improving lives, this work connects natural resources, communities, and quality of life to promote balanced development where forests and communities grow sustainably together. The project has expanded to cover over 287,756 rai in 12 provinces across Thailand.
To allow consumers to concretely join this care cycle, Unicharm offers products reflecting these commitments, such as Sofy Natural Love sanitary pads designed to be gentle to both users and the environment.
These products reduce bleaching processes, minimize plastic use, and use packaging made from recycled materials, providing an easy way for everyone to care for the planet through daily life. Small Actions to Big Impact: Every choice you make matters.
Unicharm hopes the campaign Love Your Possibilities: Create a Sustainable World will inspire society to see environmental care as accessible, with everyone able to contribute to change in their own way. Ultimately, a sustainable world is not created by one sector alone but by the collective power of everyone choosing to start small with care each day.
Green Cinema Major Cineplex Group reinforces its commitment to grow alongside social and environmental care by announcing a significant upgrade to its Green Cinema initiative. Starting 5 June 2026, World Environment Day, the group will eliminate and reduce single-use plastic cups, replacing them with high-quality food-grade paper cups for soft drinks in all cinemas nationwide, delivering an environmentally friendly entertainment experience in every aspect.
