Marketing Roundup: ADSX 2026 Highlights AI and Digital Commerce to Drive the New Economy

Ms. Abby Lee, Managing Director of Uniex Expo Co., Ltd., said digital commerce has evolved beyond just an online sales channel to become a crucial driver of the economy. This is especially true in Southeast Asia, where the digital economy continues to grow steadily. Meanwhile, Thailand's role is increasing as a hub for e-commerce, digital services, logistics, fintech, and artificial intelligence technology.

The current size of Thailand's e-commerce market exceeds one trillion baht, supported by growth in mobile commerce, social commerce, and digital payment systems. At the same time, the business sector is increasingly adopting AI for marketing, data analysis, and automation systems.

The ADSX 2026 event aims to bring together operators in the digital commerce ecosystem, including technology providers, e-commerce platforms, retailers, logistics providers, fintech firms, startups, and AI developers to exchange knowledge, build networks, and expand regional business opportunities.

Mr. Montri Kongmunkijkan, Director of the Digital Industry Development Division at the Department of Industrial Promotion, Ministry of Industry, delivered a keynote speech titled "Digital and AI: The New Economic Engine of the Future." He noted that digital technology and AI are playing a role across all economic sectors, including manufacturing, trade, services, and logistics, making these technologies key factors in the country's competitive capability.

"AI and digital technologies are not merely tools for improving operational efficiency; they are becoming the new economic engines that will shape the future development of industries," Mr. Montri said.

The Ministry of Industry continues to support upgrading Thai entrepreneurs toward Smart Industry and encourages businesses, especially SMEs and startups, to access digital technology and innovation to add value and expand business opportunities.

ASIA DigiCommerce Services Xpo 2026 will be held from 24-26 June 2026 at Hall 8 of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. Eco-Friendly Stores. GrabFood, Thailand's leading food delivery app¹, has partnered with Trash Lucky, a Thai environmental startup, to promote waste management and recycling in the food service industry through the GrabFood Eco-Friendly Stores project. This initiative focuses on sorting waste at the source within restaurants and systematically returning it to recycling processes.

Entrepreneurs can turn waste into income and track results via the Trash Lucky Official LINE Account @Trashlucky, monitoring waste quantity and carbon reduction. The project collaborates with well-known restaurants such as Emily’s Chicken Noodles, Hommi Egg Noodle, Greyhound Café, and Fire Camp Beef as pilot partners over six months, aiming to recycle 10 tons of waste and support Bangkok Metropolitan Administration's "No Mixed Waste" policy to reduce landfill waste and contribute to a better environment for society.
