INNOPOWER Company Limited has partnered with the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO) to drive the development of a low-carbon industry prototype in the EEC area by applying digital technology, renewable energy, and low-carbon technologies.
This aims to prepare the industrial sector for energy transition, adapt to international standards, and respond to environmental measures increasingly affecting global market competition, under a three-year cooperation agreement effective from 15 September 2026.
The collaboration focuses on enabling target industries to operate alongside greenhouse gas management and transition to renewable energy, supporting the goal of Carbon Neutrality while enhancing investor and operator capabilities to meet energy transition and international standards.
Dr. Chula Sukmanop, Secretary-General of the Eastern Economic Corridor Office, said EECO promotes investments that add value to the country economically, technologically, in human resources, and environmentally, emphasizing development of competitive and sustainable industries. This approach is reflected in the sustainability criteria for investment projects seeking EEC incentives.
Participation in greenhouse gas reduction and this cooperation will support EECO in designing mechanisms to assist local operators and policies to facilitate the transition to low-carbon industries.
Under this partnership, EECO will develop spatial data to assess operator needs and design investment promotion measures, as well as connect investors and operators in target industries to align operations with local industrial demands and enable broader application of pilot project results in the future.
Mr. Athip Tantivorawong, CEO of INNOPOWER, stated that a key challenge in transitioning to low-carbon industry is providing operators with practical information, tools, and guidelines. The cooperation with EECO will bring expertise and technology to support industries in the EEC in carbon reduction planning, adapting to clean energy use, and preparing for international standards appropriately.
INNOPOWER will serve as a Decarbonization Partner, applying energy expertise from feasibility studies, system design, and technology development for low-carbon industry pilot projects to developing digital systems for greenhouse gas management and carbon reduction planning.
They will also propose renewable energy strategies and apply low-carbon technologies, offering consultation to prepare for environmental measures such as CBAM, as well as support personnel, experts, and knowledge for training and seminars for investors and operators in the EEC area.
Practically, both parties will jointly develop guidelines through digital platforms and innovations, from calculating greenhouse gas emissions to carbon reduction planning, to help operators prepare for carbon border adjustment measures (CBAM), along with studies on renewable energy, low-carbon technology, and 24/7 Carbon-Free Energy procurement mechanisms.
Over the three-year cooperation, both parties will assess feasibility and select ready target groups before developing and piloting the carbon reduction planning platform, as well as conducting knowledge transfer activities for investors and operators, monitoring and evaluating results to expand the low-carbon industry model and apply it to other EEC areas.
This cooperation aims to enhance industrial readiness for energy and environmental changes, boost competitiveness, and support economic growth alongside sustainable social development and environmental care.
