Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suriyadeo Tripathi, Director of the Moral Center, stated that the Center acts as a hub connecting government, private sector, academia, and civil society to collaboratively create knowledge and new innovations under the concept Moral Touchable: Morality You Can Feel. The aim is to make morality easy to understand, close to everyday life, and practically applicable. The focus is on developing morality that can be measured, experienced, and truly felt to jointly drive and sustainably develop Thai society.
Over the past several years, the Moral Center has continuously promoted and passed on the power of goodness, expanding outreach to youth and the new generation through the Moral Hackathon 2026. This year’s event, themed Moral Hack (a bit) – A Little Change, Better Life, aims to create innovations that change social behavior. Now in its fifth year, the competition has grown significantly in terms of applicants, quality of projects, and support from experts across various fields.
The Moral Hackathon 2026 program focuses on achieving tangible results through a systematic learning and social innovation development process consisting of four key stages:
Boot Camp: Held from 17–19 August 2026, this workshop allowed participants to exchange perspectives, understand the challenges, and cultivate ideas together with peers and experts.
Ideation Workshop: Intensive sessions held from 3–4 September 2026 to further develop and refine the concepts of the eight finalist teams, sharpening them into clear and feasible ideas before the final round.
Progress Review: Participants received feedback on weaknesses and improved their projects by presenting progress to mentors, ensuring their work was on the right track and could be developed within the set timeframe.
Final Pitching: The final stage where teams brainstormed, designed, developed, and presented their projects in a competition to win cash prizes totaling over 150,000 baht.
All participants received certificates from the Moral Center certifying their involvement and capabilities in driving social innovation.
Moral Hackathon 2026 serves as a tangible success for the Moral Center by providing opportunities for university students to design creative concepts in products, services, or processes to develop prototype innovation models that drive social progress.
After completing the Boot Camp and Ideation Workshop, the eight finalist teams with outstanding projects advanced to the Final Pitching and award ceremony. This year’s winner was:
The 2026 Moral Hackathon champion team NONGNAO, consisting of Narara Intarasotornchan, Nattayan Boonyawat, and Thacha Tenya Boonyanit.
First runner-up: Team Youth Detective Movement, comprised of Peeradon Williamho, Kamoltip Williamho, and Pawarit Rattananeankchai.
Second runner-up: Team Great Tiger, represented by Phuwanat Termboon.

Enhancing Energy Security PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP) and PC JDA received rights under the production-sharing contract for block A-18-01 in the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Area (MTJDA) from the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Authority to enhance Thailand’s energy security. This supports ongoing natural gas development alongside block B-17-01 to maintain gas production rates, meeting long-term energy demand over 35 years. Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul honored the ceremony with his presence.
Supporting the Next Generation The TCP business group continues to support young talent by partnering with the Faculty of Business Administration at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) to provide a platform for students from various universities. They challenged themselves to develop future beverage business ideas through THE KBS HACKATHON 2026 (Season 3: The Entrepreneurial Innovator) under the theme “Beverages for a Sustainable Future.” The contest invited students to use innovation, creativity, and fresh perspectives to design beverage businesses that meet consumer needs while creating value for people, society, and the planet.
After intensive learning, idea development, and prototype creation, the Dehui Family team from KMITL won the championship and the Royal Award plaque from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn for their product Her Boost. Their concept was developed from a deep understanding of women’s issues and needs. Their success reflects the team’s ability to identify nearby problems, question them from new angles, and blend consumer insights, innovation, and business opportunities into a viable prototype.
