Marketing Roundup: TDH Dental Targets Premium Market with 2026 Revenue Goal of 500 Million Baht

Dr. Ruengyot Onsard, Chief Executive Officer of Thonglor Dental Hospital Co., Ltd. (TDH Dental), said the Thai dental market is currently valued at about 10 billion baht, growing annually by 13–15%, up from approximately 5–6 billion baht five to six years ago. Thailand has nearly 10,000 dental clinics, with about 70% concentrated in Bangkok.

Regarding TDH Dental’s business direction entering its third decade, over 20 years the company has grown through commitment to delivering quality dental care. Going forward, the organization will fully embrace the era of Dental Longevity.

This concept extends beyond oral health treatment to include leveraging technology to enhance quality of life through smiles, designing smiles to harmonize with individual personality, facial structure, and unique health conditions.

The aim is to help propel Thailand to become a regional dental hub, leveraging strengths in medical personnel, treatment quality, technology, and distinctive Thai-style service.

Ms. Wipawadee Onsard, Managing Director of Thonglor Dental Hospital Co., Ltd., said TDH Dental’s third-decade strategy is to elevate the organization into a fully digital dental clinic under the Dental Longevity concept, aligned with growth trends in the Longevity, Beauty & Wellness markets.

This applies domestically and regionally, with a business structure prepared for growth and a goal to enter the stock market within three years, based on excellence in three key areas:

1. Excellence: Enhancing standards and quality of care. TDH Dental prioritizes expertise and quality in oral health care, which is fundamental to building long-term trust.

The team includes specialized dentists and professional staff, operating under international standards such as ISO 9001:2015, and expertise in Invisalign clear aligners.

2. Digital & Innovation Transformation: Powered by technology and innovation. The company is developing Fully Digital Dentistry systems to shift from traditional care to a complete digital dental process, applying technology from diagnosis and planning

through to treatment follow-up. Key technologies include the iTero Element 5D oral scanner and CBCT, a 3D computed tomography system to analyze teeth, jawbone structure, and facial proportions, as well as smile design using Aesthetic Norms techniques to calculate facial balance tailored to each individual.

Additionally, artificial intelligence (AI) supports the dental team’s work, integrating patient data storage, treatment planning, backend management, and behavioral data to precisely analyze customer behavior and enhance patient experience effectively.

3. People Development: Staff development to support growth. TDH Dental focuses on upskilling and reskilling dentists and relevant personnel to keep pace with advanced dental technologies in treatment, consultation, and service, from appointment scheduling through post-treatment care.

The goal is to build a brand that patients trust, love, and recommend. These three areas of excellence strengthen TDH Dental’s operations to support efficient and sustainable business expansion.

Under the Dental Longevity concept, the company promotes oral health care through three components: prevention before problems arise (Prevent), continuous care (Maintain), and preserving long-term oral health (Preserve), alongside personalized care planning.

This approach aligns with the Longevity trend, emphasizing proactive health care so people can enjoy good health and quality of life with confidence at every age.

"We don’t wait for patients to develop symptoms before starting treatment. Instead, we begin by thoroughly understanding oral health and monitoring every six months, from baseline X-rays to oral scans that reveal details such as tooth color, condition, chewing function, and hard-to-detect cavities. This allows dentists to continuously compare and analyze changes. Care thus covers not only immediate problem treatment but also prevention and long-term oral health maintenance under the Prevent–Maintain–Preserve concept."

Regarding TDH Dental’s business expansion plan, selecting strategic locations is key to growing the customer base. Currently, the company has 12 branches in Thailand and Laos, including standalone clinics and those within premium shopping centers like Thonglor, Punnawithi, Ratchaphruek, Iconsiam, and Bangkok-Kritha.

Recently, the company opened a branch on the 4th floor of Dusit Central Park to serve workers, residents, and foreigners in Silom, Sala Daeng, and Rama 4 areas, enabling more direct access to premium consumers, enhancing service potential, brand loyalty, and long-term business value.

The company targets expanding its network to 20 branches within five years, opening five new locations this year with an investment of about 70–80 million baht in strategic areas such as Ramintra, Bangkok-Kritha, and Dusit Central Park 4th floor, to support growing clientele and strengthen competitiveness.

For 2026, TDH Dental aims for revenue of 450–500 million baht, up from 321.9 million baht expected in 2025. Currently, 70% of patients are Thai and 30% foreign, primarily from China, the U.S., Europe, and Scandinavian countries, transforming the clinic into a lifelong oral health partner.

Dr. Phakphorn Phattharaphornan, Chief Operating Officer of Thonglor Dental Hospital Co., Ltd., said TDH Dental’s goal is not only to treat patients symptomatically but to help them recognize risks before problems arise, enabling appropriate oral health care and long-lasting quality teeth to enhance confidence and appearance at every age.

"We want to shift the clinic’s role from a place patients visit only when problems occur to a Long-term Oral Health Partner that cares for and monitors oral health from childhood throughout life. This is a transition from episodic treatment to continuous, systematic oral health care."

This change marks an important step for TDH Dental in raising care standards, building brand trust and loyalty long-term, and expanding its customer base to children and adolescents, well-aging adults, middle to upper-level workers, Gen Z, male clients, and foreigners in the dental tourism market.
