"Why isn't there a system that can tell how well a person works?" said C.K. Jeng.
At the first launch event for Fastwork.com, a freelance job hub platform developed from Fastwork.co to expand its customer base internationally.
Dr. Thitima Chucherd, Director of Macroeconomic Research at the Economic and Business Research Center, Siam Commercial Bank (SCB EIC). She outlined the global economic overview and challenges Thailand faces from geopolitical risks, trade wars, high interest rates, climate change, and an aging society. These factors lead to forecasts of slower global economic growth this year at about 2.5%, while Thailand's economy slows to just over 2%.
Furthermore, the arrival of artificial intelligence (AI) technology is completely transforming the world of work. Dr. Thitima summarized five essential adaptations workers and freelancers must make for stable, higher-value jobs.
Many freelancers have been skilled and recognized within small communities like Line groups or via word-of-mouth. But soon, hiring and transaction technology will enter the AI Agent era, where personal AI assistants make decisions, find talent, and handle transactions on behalf of humans.
The key challenge is that when clients' AI Agents worldwide seek suitable workers, they require data, proof of work, cumulative sales, and reviews from real transactions. This is why Fastwork.com serves as a bridge connecting workers and employers through verified information and portfolios.
It is a platform combining Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and a marketplace all in one.
Fastwork.com's interface will host multiple accounts featuring multimedia including photos, albums, videos, similar to a blog where workers can upload their work like posting on Instagram.
For most artists who seek inspiration on Pinterest but cannot hire those artists directly, Fastwork.com allows users to find and hire artists and see service fees all in one place, said C.K. Jeng.
Workers can list their biographies, work experience, and showcase collaborations with leading brands, similar to LinkedIn.
Both freelancers and employers can review and share work experiences, see actual hiring volumes, and freelancers can report issues like late payments or mismatched work specifications.
Regarding fees, if freelancers bring clients themselves, they pay 0% GP, receiving 100% of earnings. This allows them to build reviews, sales, and work history without platform fees.
For new clients sourced and recommended by Fastwork, an 18% GP fee applies only on the first $100 (or up to 570 baht). Any amount beyond that in the contract will not incur additional GP fees.
Fastwork.com plans to officially launch its app on 16 Nov 2026 with full support in Thailand and Indonesia.
The rollout of a Global Payment Rail supporting credit cards and payment methods from clients worldwide (e.g., the US, Japan) enabling freelancers to accept international work will begin on 15 Dec 2026.
They will also introduce personal AI Agents for all users to assist withchat, negotiations, and automatic matching between employers and freelancers starting 25 Dec 2026.
