Ms. Patchranan Asawakraisak, CEO of Solpreemm Design Co., Ltd., stated that design today plays a role beyond mere branding. For project owners, every square meter is an investment that must meet the needs of the brand, users, and business goals. For them, design doesn’t start by asking what kind of space the client wants but by understanding what the business aims to create, how the space relates to the brand and customers, and then developing the design accordingly.
This concept leads to Solpreemm Design’s four-step working process summarized as Discover – Define – Design – Develop. It begins with understanding the business, brand, target group, and actual space usage, followed by defining how the space can meet needs and add value to the business.
Next is the design phase, focusing on function, experience, and aesthetics to ensure every space is practical and reflects the brand’s identity. Then comes development, paying close attention to details, usability, durability, safety, and adaptability for future changes, enabling the space to continuously generate value over the long term.
One project illustrating this approach is Tiwa Wellness by IONA, a new Wellness & Spa located in the Sindhorn Building on Witthayu Road, covering more than 1,200 square meters with a design and construction value exceeding 35 million baht. Solpreemm Design was responsible from concept development and interior design through to construction and handover.
The key challenge was not merely to create a Wellness Space following current trends but to build a unique identity that reflects Tiwa Wellness itself and transcends shifting trends. This led to the concept 'The Art Museum of Timeless Beauty,' viewing beauty as timeless art, which guided the development of the user experience.
The design combines Neoclassical lines with Modern Luxury simplicity, emphasizing every element—from proportions, light and shadow, and premium materials to exquisite craftsmanship—to create a calm, relaxing atmosphere from the reception hall and long corridors to treatment rooms and lounge areas, ensuring a seamless customer experience throughout their visit.
“We did not design Tiwa Wellness just to look its best on opening day, because trends constantly change. We always ask ourselves if, years from now, this space will still have character, reflect the brand’s identity, provide a good experience for visitors, and create value for the business. That is what Design for Value means to us,” she said.
Regarding expansion into the Hospitality and Wellness & Spa markets, Solpreemm Design sees this not just as adding new business sectors but as part of a strategy to build specialized expertise. The company plans to extend its role as a Strategic Architectural Partner to more Hospitality, Wellness & Spa, and Commercial Space projects, with Design for Value as the core concept driving development.
At the same time, the company aims long-term to promote Thai design on the international stage by enhancing concepts, working methods, and design standards to compete globally.
“Our goal is not only to be a leading design firm in Thailand but to become one of the brands shaping the future of architecture internationally by creating concepts, working methods, and standards that make the world take notice of Thailand. That is the direction Solpreemm is heading,” she concluded.
