Mr. Suwit Intarachalerm, Vice President of Public Relations at Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited, stated that despite societal and technological changes, books remain a valuable source of knowledge. They open horizons, foster imagination, develop thinking processes, and instill a love of reading, which is a crucial foundation for sustainable human resource development. However, many schools and libraries, especially in remote areas, still lack adequate books and appropriate learning materials.
Bangkok Bank recognizes the importance of developing children's and youth potential through reading, which plays a key role in enhancing thinking processes, imagination, and rational information linking. It also forms the foundation for developing Executive Function (EF) brain skills. Additionally, severe flooding has impacted the livelihoods of many people.
Many educational institutions and libraries suffered damage from the floods. Therefore, Bangkok Bank partnered with Praphansarn Publishing to continue promoting the world of reading for the 17th year by donating the 'Stories That Build Wisdom' book sets to enhance skills and develop EF. These include integrated activity books for early childhood and extracurricular reading books, distributed to 400 schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission, including those affected by flooding, under the concept of the 'Bank of Knowledge,' with a total value exceeding 8 million baht.
Dr. Wisanu Sapsombat, Deputy Secretary-General of the Basic Education Commission, revealed that the Commission is aware of the hardships in many areas of the country, especially the flooding in the south, which has severely affected schools, libraries, and learning centers. This book donation not only replenishes educational resources but also contributes to restoring learning opportunities for children and youth in the affected areas.
At the hybrid press conference, Mr. Chatisiri Sophonpanich, President and CEO of Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited, presided over the book donation ceremony to Dr. Wisanu Sapsombat, who will distribute the books to 400 schools nationwide. Also present were Mr. Athorn Techathada, Advisory Board Member of Praphansarn Publishing, representatives from the Ministry of Education, Basic Education Commission executives, teachers, and librarians from various schools. An online system was also set up to allow teachers, professors, and honored guests to witness the event.
: Synnex (Thailand) Public Company Limited (SYNNEX) hosted the "SYNNEX OPEN HOUSE 2026" event, announcing growth directions and strategies to support a significant transition in the technology industry during the artificial intelligence (AI) era. Under the theme 'Empowering the Future Together,' the company aims to elevate its role from a distributor to a strategic technology partner, fostering sustainable growth alongside partners and stakeholders within Thailand's technology ecosystem, targeting revenue of 53 billion baht.
During the event, SYNNEX launched the Synnex Technology Showcase, a comprehensive exhibition of technology and innovation presenting technology through real-life experiences. This reflects technology’s integral role in daily life. The company also demonstrated its infrastructure capabilities with a smart warehouse deploying the System 5 system—the first in Thailand—to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and support future business and partner growth.
Mr. Apichai Chatjaroemkij, Deputy Governor of Domestic Marketing at the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), stated that in 2026, TAT will continue promoting domestic travel through the 'Instant Happiness in Thai Travel' campaign. This aims to deliver immediate joy to travelers by providing experiences that meet both physical and mental needs through Holistic Travel, which goes beyond general Wellness Tourism. The goal is for travel to recharge body, mind, and emotions while promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly tourism.
The campaign also encourages spending on high-value travel products under 'Thailand Premium' and aims to deepen the meaning of happiness beyond short-term rest or fun. Happiness is seen as arising from travel that reflects personal identity, beliefs, and inner values (Identity-led Travel).
This aligns with modern travelers' behavior, who choose purposeful travel and prioritize emotional value over quantity of experiences. The belief is that 'Purpose is the New Pleasure,' meaning travel with purpose enriches life’s value and results in deeper, more meaningful happiness.
The campaign extension encourages people to decide to travel domestically by communicating deeper happiness through three main themes: Memory—joy from reconnecting with self and good past memories to empower present life; Miracle—joy and fulfillment from experiencing nature’s wonders, wisdom, and beauty; and Giving—joy from giving good things to oneself, others, and the world, fulfilling emotional values and creating lasting meaning for every journey.
"This year, TAT has collaborated with creators to craft and share stories reflecting genuine happiness from real experiences, showing authentic perspectives. We want to use the power of real storytelling to share the value of tourism in an accessible way and inspire travelers to embark on journeys to discover happiness and their own great moments."
