LPP Group Develops LPP OIL Brand and OEM Production to Enhance Brand Value

Mr. Thawin Lophunphon, Chief Executive Officer of LPP Group, stated that the company operates through three main business segments: Loh Poonphon Rice Mill Co., Ltd., a leading rice milling and processing company in Thailand with over 30 years of experience producing and selling quality rice under brands such as Bua Chompoo, Thai Farmers, Golden Shrimp, and Khula; LPP Rice Bran Oil Co., Ltd., a producer and distributor of rice bran oil under the LPP OIL brand, offering OEM rice bran oil manufacturing services; and LPP Industrial Estate Co., Ltd., a developer of LPP Industrial Estate in Nakhon Sawan Province, Thailand's first integrated agricultural and food industrial estate.

The LPP OIL brand provides OEM rice bran oil production to enhance the value of raw materials following Circular Economy principles. Meanwhile, LPP Industrial Estate develops a comprehensive agricultural and food industrial park in Nakhon Sawan Province, Thailand’s first of its kind.

LPP Oil's strength lies in its comprehensive expertise across the rice business, from upstream to downstream. The company applies deep knowledge of rice and access to high-quality rice bran to develop premium rice bran oil using internationally standardized extraction and refining technologies, ensuring high and consistent product quality to meet food industry demands.

The company aims to elevate Thai rice into high-value global products under an ESG framework encompassing environmental, social, and governance aspects. This is achieved through a complete supply chain system, from collaborative quality development with farmers to delivering products to consumers, sustainably upgrading Thai agricultural products to international standards.

Mr. Thawin further explained that on the environmental front, the company focuses on minimizing natural impact by adopting a Low Carbon approach, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, using resources efficiently, and pursuing a Zero Waste goal throughout the production chain.

At the upstream level, the company collaborates with farmers to sustainably improve rice quality while promoting efficient resource management to reduce waste from the start. Midstream efforts emphasize strict quality control in milling, rice bran separation, storage, and transportation to extraction plants to preserve raw material quality and minimize losses.

Downstream, the rice bran oil extraction process follows international standards, with bran processed within 24 hours to retain key nutrients such as Gamma Oryzanol, a potent antioxidant with high nutritional value. The integrated supply chain enables systematic quality control, waste reduction, and production efficiency, resulting in high-quality rice bran oil from source to final product.

Additionally, LPP Group has a traceability system that tracks products from the rice fields to the marketed rice bran oil, ensuring transparency and global trust. The company is preparing to obtain ESG certification from Singapore, marking a significant step in enhancing organizational credibility and demonstrating genuine commitment to sustainable business practices.

Currently, the company has industrial-scale production capacity with packaging capability of 21,000 tons per year and refining capacity of 36,500 tons per year. Its main target customers are in the food industry (B2B) and global partners, especially major operators in Japan who emphasize product quality, manufacturing standards, and safety.

This reflects confidence in LPP OIL’s international production standards and quality control capabilities. The company also offers OEM manufacturing services for businesses wishing to create their own rice bran oil brands domestically and internationally, alongside continuous development of the LPP OIL brand.

Regarding product quality, the company’s rice bran oil contains Gamma Oryzanol—a unique antioxidant found only in rice bran oil—in concentrations ranging from 10,000 to 15,500 ppm. It also features a high smoke point of 235 degrees Celsius, reducing smoke generation during cooking, making it suitable for frying and high-heat culinary applications.

This has increased demand from households and food service businesses. Growth in the processed food and snack industries has also driven industrial usage due to the oil’s stability against oxidation, non-greasy nature, and reduced risk of rancid odors.

Moreover, the oil has passed Cold Test evaluations at 0°C for over 5.5 hours without clouding, demonstrating outstanding production capabilities. This reflects the readiness of LPP OIL’s manufacturing technology, which employs machinery and production systems imported entirely from Europe.

The company utilizes some of the world’s most advanced modern production technologies. Its factory has received ISO 9001, GHPs, HACCP, HALAL, FDA, and BRCGS certifications, and won the Superior Taste Award 2025 from the International Taste Institute, confirming international recognition.

Meanwhile, LPP Industrial Estate Co., Ltd. continues developing the LPP Industrial Estate in Nakhon Sawan Province—the first integrated agricultural and food industrial estate in Thailand—covering 583 rai in Kok Duea Subdistrict, Paisali District. Strategically located in the country’s center, it connects all regions and major ports conveniently. The estate aims to be a Smart Agriculture Industrial Estate supporting future growth of the agricultural and food industries, with operations expected to commence in 2026.

The global rice bran oil industry is expected to grow steadily due to rising demand for health products. The market is projected to reach approximately USD 12.4 billion (about THB 446.4 billion) in 2026 and expand to around USD 18.7 billion (approximately THB 673.2 billion) by 2036, with an average annual growth rate (CAGR) of about 4.2% during 2026–2036. The Asia-Pacific region remains the key global market as both a major producer and consumer.

Thailand holds a competitive advantage as a major producer and exporter of quality rice globally, supported by strong raw materials and supply chains, facilitating the development of a high-quality rice bran oil industry.

In line with these trends, LPP Group is expanding its rice bran oil business by focusing on the B2B market alongside efforts to enter the consumer market (B2C) to establish LPP OIL as a world-class rice bran oil brand in production standards, nutritional value, and consumer trust.
