Akara Group Advances at THAIFEX 2026, Expanding Food and Protein Market

Mr. Thanawut Uealarpan, executive and managing director of Saengthong-Akara Group Co., Ltd., said that over 30 years, Akara Group has grown from a farm and egg production business that manages quality from start to finish, which laid a solid foundation enabling Akara to develop quality egg products into a diversified food business portfolio.

This includes fresh eggs, health eggs (Eggology), Japanese-style eggs safe for raw consumption, and an expanded line of pasteurized liquid eggs, products built on expertise in eggs and protein. The company has also expanded into ready-to-eat foods such as cooked chicken and burgers. In 2025, total sales reached about 3 billion baht, growing 7%, exceeding targets, with distribution via modern trade at 42%, fresh markets 27%, and exports 13%.

Akara Processing Egg, or Ready to Eat / Ready to Cook products, grew 29%, reflecting the company’s strong business foundation domestically and in export markets with promising growth opportunities.

Currently, competition in eggs and ready meals is intense regarding quality, safety, convenience, and value-added capabilities. This has led the company to see opportunities to build upon eggs—basic protein with high nutritional value and low calories—toward Food Solution brands that better meet modern daily life needs.

Especially in the Ready to Eat segment of processed chicken meals, and Ready to Cook pasteurized liquid eggs, consistent with first-quarter 2026 sales growth: tofu egg products up 29%, boiled and steamed eggs up 19%, and liquid eggs up 72%.

This reflects consumer demand shifting from mere ingredients to convenient, easy-to-use, high-quality food and protein solutions. Akara Group has long been recognized as an expert in quality egg and protein production, emphasizing every step carefully.

From breed selection, farm management, production processes, and food safety standards to continuous innovation, Akara has become a top-of-mind brand for modern consumers.

Mr. Thanawut added that the company continues to focus on sustainable growth, leveraging strengths in production, standards, safety, and verified trust, expanding into comprehensive quality food and protein brands. They aim to develop protein products, ready meals, and new products to meet general consumers, food service, health-conscious lifestyle groups, and expand business opportunities abroad.

A key step in elevating the Akara brand internationally is its first participation in THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2026, a major platform to showcase capabilities to distributors, retail buyers, food service buyers, and international partners, aligning with the company’s export expansion strategy.

At the THAIFEX booth, the company highlights its strong foundation and diverse protein food innovations, showcasing product lines including eggs—the company’s core—and new innovations, plus ready-to-eat foods under Protein Innovation.

Egg products include Akara Fresh Hygienic Eggs, high-quality fresh eggs; Akara Eggology health eggs catering to consumers focused on food quality such as Organic, Cage Free, Free Range, Veggie Eggs, and Omega 3, elevating eggs from commodity to premium health category; and Mori-Tama, Japanese-style eggs produced with Japanese technology for the Thai market.

This emphasizes washing, sterilization, and cold chain temperature control to maintain freshness, cleanliness, and safety suitable for raw consumption; plus Ready to Cook & Ready to Eat products like tofu eggs, steamed eggs, boiled eggs, liquid eggs, burgers, and other ready meals—highlighting Akara Group’s transition from egg business to food business that meets lifestyle needs, especially for working adults, students, and younger consumers seeking convenient, nutritious food.

The event also features cooking demonstrations with young chef James Teeradon Supapunpinyo, known as Jamie James, who is both chef and artist, creating easy new recipes for home cooks. Additionally, Akara launched a special project, The Collection Journey akara x FAAN.PEETI, a collaboration with renowned illustrator Faan-Peeticha Kongrit, telling the 30-year journey through charming signature artwork, released as shopping bags debuted at THAIFEX, egg trays and stickers launching in July, and a box set in August.

Akara Group is advancing its Digital CRM to build long-term consumer relationships through a rewards system, promotional activities, and exclusive customer privileges. Technology is a key tool connecting with consumers to reinforce Akara’s accessible, fun, contemporary image that fits daily life in many ways.
