The Bio-Circular-Green Economy Development Office (Public Organization), or BEDO, invites high school students nationwide to participate in the Biogang Challenge 2026 project under the theme "Youth Acting For Nature Positive: Every Creative Power for Sustainable Nature." The goal is to encourage youth awareness of biodiversity's value and importance, providing a space to learn, innovate, and actively conserve, restore, and sustainably use natural resources.
This initiative aims to foster young people's recognition of biodiversity's value and significance while offering them opportunities to learn, creatively think, and actively engage in conserving, restoring, and sustainably utilizing natural resources.
The Biogang Challenge 2026 project focuses on building awareness for natural resource and biodiversity conservation through active learning processes, including surveying and compiling biological resource data, developing educational media, and designing activities that create real positive impacts on communities and the environment. It hopes to show youth that even small actions can lead to meaningful changes for nature and society.
For this year's competition, participants must develop projects under the Nature Positive concept by selecting one of three key topics for their project:
1. Stopping the loss of nature
2. Restoring degraded areas
3. Using resources without disrupting balance
Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of experts, emphasizing creative thinking with novel ideas, engaging and relevant presentations aligned with the theme, practical feasibility, positive impacts on nature, communities, and society, as well as presentation quality including clarity, language, and technical skills.
Selected projects will receive quality certifications at Platinum, Gold, or Silver levels, reflecting their potential and excellence in advancing the Nature Positive goal. Winning teams and their schools will be honored with trophies, certificates, and educational grants to encourage further knowledge expansion and biodiversity conservation efforts.
Participants will also gain experience developing analytical, communication, and project management skills through a Boot Camp. This can support academic work, portfolio development, and future studies. All participating teams will receive participation certificates from BEDO. Eligible applicants must be junior to senior high school students nationwide, registering in teams of up to three with one advisor. Each advisor may mentor multiple teams.
Interested youth can apply from now until 12 August 2026. The top 25 teams will be announced on 21 August 2026, proceeding to project development and final presentations. Winners and awards will be announced in January 2027. Mr. Montri Maneerat, President of the Chiang Mai Special Rescue Association, received emergency roadside assistance equipment including traffic cones, light batons, raincoats, and bottled water from Viriyah Insurance Public Company Limited. The handover was represented by Mr. Jirasak Kengsuwan, Assistant Manager of Operations for Region 1 (North) at the Claims Operations Center, along with staff, to support the rescue association’s officers and volunteers in effectively assisting road accident victims, disaster relief, and safety mission support. The ceremony took place at the Chiang Mai Special Rescue Association, Chaisathan Subdistrict, Saraphi District, Chiang Mai.

Ms. Suwatthana Rasmirojwong, Assistant Managing Director of Sukhumvit Asset Management Company Limited (SAM), delivered a lecture and promoted the “Debt Clearance and Moving Forward” project, which helps small debtors with non-performing loans up to 100,000 baht. The event was held for community leaders from each Bangkok district office under the "Citizen Driving the Metropolis" project for fiscal year 2026, organized by Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s Social Development Office. Mr. Thanit Tanbuakli, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Bangkok, presided over the opening. The BMA plans to conduct the "Citizen Driving the Metropolis" project throughout July-August 2026 across 50 districts in 18 sessions, reaching about 3,600 participants. This collaboration among government agencies aims to widely disseminate debt relief information to affected citizens.
