SV Academy points out that AI is changing the Thai business game, signaling it’s time to shift the mindset from software buyers to innovation creators.
Krairat Mairin, former Senior Software Engineer and one of SV Academy’s founders, said AI has drastically changed software development. Previously requiring large teams and months or even years, development time can now be shortened significantly, allowing businesses to test new ideas and launch products faster.
"In the past, businesses had to invest heavily in buying software and hiring development teams. Today, AI enables business owners to build systems tailored to their organizations more easily. The key is not just using AI, but knowing how to apply AI to solve business problems."
Charlie Phisurat, technical infrastructure expert and SV Academy founder, said the role of tech workers is also changing—from focusing on programming to designing systems, planning workflows, and reviewing AI-generated outcomes.
"AI acts like a fast-working assistant, but humans are still essential for setting goals, structuring systems, and making decisions. Ultimately, how much value technology creates depends on how we design its operation."
This concept was developed into SV Academy’s curriculum, initially tested with youth aged 10–15 without programming backgrounds. It has since expanded to courses for entrepreneurs and business owners to use AI in developing organizational systems such as inventory management, order processing, accounting, and automation for routine tasks.
Prom Paladechpong, SV Academy founder, said the institute’s goal is not to produce programmers but to cultivate people who can use AI to solve problems and innovate.
"If business owners understand their own challenges and know how to properly use AI, they can create systems that reduce costs, increase efficiency, and expand business opportunities without the large investments required in the past."
Beyond curriculum development, SV Academy aims to build a network of technology experts to advise and support long-term innovation in Thai businesses. The founders foresee AI becoming an essential tool across all industries, not just tech companies.
In manufacturing, trade, services, and small businesses alike, organizations that appropriately integrate AI will have opportunities to lower costs, improve efficiency, and gain competitive advantages. "The key question today is not whether AI will replace humans, but how businesses will use AI to drive growth."
SV Academy is preparing the next course specifically for entrepreneurs and business owners, requiring no coding background.
