Foremost Advances Passing Smiles to Thai Children Project in Sixth Year

Mr. Prasert Chantrawangthong, Minister of Education, presided over the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the "Foremost Passing Smiles to Thai Children Year 6 (Foremost One Million Smiles 6th)" project, together with Dr. Olan Chowvivattana, Director of Corporate Relations at FrieslandCampina (Thailand) Public Company Limited, held at the Ministry of Education.

Mr. Prasert stated that this occasion represents a full-strength collaboration between the Ministry of Education and Foremost to continue the 'Passing Smiles to Thai Children' project for the sixth year. Providing children with milk is not merely a basic welfare measure but a way to establish food security and sustainable quality of life for Thai children. The government aims to expand opportunities for all Thai children to access quality milk equitably.

Particularly focusing on disadvantaged schools or those in remote areas, this effort promotes proper nutrition for all age groups and sustainably addresses malnutrition. He expressed confidence that the integrated collaboration between the Ministry of Education, Foremost, and all partner sectors will maximize benefits for Thai children. It is encouraging that Foremost has grown in Thailand for over 70 years, consistently engaging in positive social activities.

Dr. Olan said that FrieslandCampina, as the producer and distributor of Foremost dairy products operating in Thailand for 70 years, is committed to leveraging Foremost's strengths to create a long-term positive impact on Thai society.

He emphasized the belief that the best investment is in children and youth, who will become the vital force of Thailand. Continuing the 'Foremost Passing Smiles to Thai Children' project into its sixth year, this year they have major partners including the Ministry of Education, under cooperation from the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), the Office of the Private Education Commission (OPEC), and partners such as the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security and BJC Big C Group, supporting the delivery of 1,000,000 boxes of milk.

This year's highlight is building national-level cooperation to elevate milk delivery to Thai children. The Ministry of Education honors Foremost's role in systematically promoting Thai children's development. Beyond milk distribution, there is ongoing monitoring of nutritional status, field surveys, data collection on growth indicators, and assessments of both physical and cognitive development.

Additionally, the company emphasizes fostering sustainability awareness among Thai youth by providing information on resource circularity. Every Foremost milk carton is recyclable and can be further processed into pulp, polymers, and aluminum for various reuse applications.

On the occasion of Foremost's 70th anniversary, they invite everyone to become key contributors in sharing and delivering good nutrition to Thai children through the sixth year of the 'Passing Smiles to Thai Children' project. For every carton of any flavor of Foremost UHT milk purchased, Foremost will donate an additional carton, up to a total of 1,000,000 boxes, from now until 30 September 2026, available at partner stores such as Lotus, Big C, Tops, 7 Eleven, CJ, Makro, and nearby retail outlets. Because the smiles of Thai children begin with the small milk cartons you choose to drink.
