Postal Service Advances Postal Happiness Connect to Foster Sustainable Community Growth Opportunities

Dr. Danan Supattapan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Thailand Post Co., Ltd., said that Thailand Post believes every community has value, every local product has a story, and everyone deserves opportunities to grow. Today, our role is not just to deliver parcels to their destinations but to connect opportunities forward—linking producers to consumers, communities to markets, and fostering collaboration among all sectors to strengthen the grassroots economy. When communities grow, happiness grows along with them.

The 'Postal Happiness Connect' project builds on Thailand Post's strengths to concretely develop communities by supporting entrepreneurs from product development, brand identity creation, packaging design, production standard enhancement, cost management, to connecting sales channels. This enables community products to compete effectively in the market while operating under the ESG+E framework, emphasizing growth in environmental, social, governance, and economic dimensions.

The project's results are reflected through the development of model communities across the country, such as crisp grilled fish fillets, Nile tilapia chili paste, and fish sausage from the large-scale Nile tilapia community enterprise in Chonburi Province. These products have been developed, branded, and had their production standards upgraded to receive certification from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Additionally, OTOP products like Tip fragrant brown rice, fragrant jasmine brown rice, berry brown rice, cookies, and three-color brown rice from Ban Kutjik in Sakon Nakhon have seen ongoing product and marketing development by Thailand Post, increasing added value for community products in Tha Sak subdistrict. Dried aromatic shrimp, sun-dried shrimp, crispy shrimp chili paste, and shrimp paste from Nakhon Si Thammarat have been developed into unique, standardized seafood processed products.

Salted eggs and salted egg chili paste from the salted egg community enterprise in Chaiya, Surat Thani, have been developed in product, packaging, and expanded sales channels through ThailandPostMart. Likewise, fermented fish products such as Suklam fermented fish, fish in banana leaf wraps, and chili paste from the Ban Huay Mak Lam Occupational Development Community Enterprise in Udon Thani have progressed from local freshwater fish processing, along with knowledge transfer in management and marketing, creating continuous jobs and income for community members.

Throughout the project, Thailand Post leverages its expertise in logistics and comprehensive nationwide network as mechanisms to connect community products from production sites to consumers, while delivering knowledge and creating market opportunities. This enables local products to grow steadily and generate income for communities, improving the quality of life for Thai people and fostering sustainable growth.

Interested consumers can purchase community products under the 'Postal Happiness Connect' project at post offices nationwide and via the ThailandPostMart website. They can also watch the 'Postal Happiness Connect' online film athttps://youtu.be/M1CQza6UFrM
