Inside Marketing: Dr. Jaruwan, Saha Farm Heiress, Shares Lessons from Overcoming Ten-Billion-Baht Debt Crisis

Dr. Jaruwan Chotewun, known as Namphueng, opened up at the FAM DAY 2026 event about her career and the time when her family faced a debt crisis of over ten billion baht. She noted that although many might think Saha Farm's heirs grew up in privilege, her career began as a regular employee, learning the work firsthand and being rigorously trained by her father, Dr. Panya Chotewun. The most important legacy from her father was not wealth but life lessons and how to handle problems.

The year 2024 marked another turning point when the family lost Dr. Panya, while the business still had obligations to manage. At this time, her mother, Dr. Manunsri Chotewun, became the pillar who continued managing the business and handling the debt burden amid pressures from both the business and the family.

Namphueng said that dwelling on worries does not resolve problems; what is needed is to accept reality and take action. "Just thinking about a 15-billion-baht debt is enough to kill you. Don’t dwell on it; stress is pointless. Problems exist to be solved, not to be stressed over." She acknowledged that feeling sorrow is natural, but after that phase passes, one must rise to fulfill their duties, continue what their parents built, and move the business forward.

Dr. Jaruwan stated that Saha Farm exited the business rehabilitation plan back in 2022 and continues to repay debts according to schedule until 2027. The company aims to become fully independent next year, restore confidence, and expand its business into a global food company. Regarding rumors about the Sukawadee house and inheritance assets, Dr. Jaruwan admitted the family has issues but declined to disclose details.
