Bangkok is preparing to welcome Russian entrepreneurs to the Made in Russia trade exhibition on 30–31 Oct 2026 at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Riverside Hotel, Bangkok. The event offers Thai businesses opportunities to negotiate deals and sample products from Russian brands, alongside live sales activities featuring Thai-Russian influencers to expand consumer access in Thailand.
The event is held under the 2nd Russia–Thailand Investment Forum from 29–31 Oct 2026, with representatives from business sectors, industry associations, and government agencies of both countries participating to expand trade, investment, and foster cooperation among entrepreneurs.
The exhibition features a wide range of products for display and sampling, including sweets, dried foods, beverages, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, industrial equipment, souvenirs, and lifestyle goods, allowing Thai consumers and partners to closely familiarize themselves with Russian products.
In the food category, Belyov Pastila presents pastila, a traditional Russian sweet, while JSC BRPI will offer BrandIce ice cream for attendees to taste. Altay Buket showcases herbal teas inspired by Siberian herbal wisdom.
In beauty products, Arnest Unirus will introduce brands such as Velvet Hands, Black Pearl, Crystal Purity, and Feel Moment. LEBER, a manufacturer of playground and sports equipment, will present innovations and design concepts for modern urban public spaces.
Allowing product trials and tastings also provides Russian entrepreneurs with valuable feedback from Thai consumers and partners, helping them refine products, packaging, and marketing strategies to suit the local market.
Another key activity is a live streaming studio where bloggers and influencers from Thailand and Russia jointly showcase Made in Russia products online, conducted according to the regulations of the platforms used in Thailand.
This initiative aims to increase brand awareness and reach Thai consumers who shop via social media and live broadcasts. It also enables producers to receive direct questions and feedback from viewers to assess market demand before expanding sales alongside the physical exhibition. The event also includes Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings connecting Russian producers and exporters with Thai entrepreneurs and partners.
Discussion topics cover product selection, certification standards, marketing, promotion, logistics, and business conditions in Thailand, paving the way for cooperation to translate into actual trade.
The event operates under the national Made in Russia promotion program by the Russian Export Center, the main partner of the forum, aiming to expand distributor networks, develop cooperation, and increase channels for Russian products entering the Thai market.
The business program concludes with the Bangkok Badminton Friendship Cup 2026, using sports to build relationships among participants from both countries, featuring divisions for professional athletes and amateur business players.
Initially, 16 business participants registered—8 from Russia and 8 from Thailand—who will pair with professional athletes. The professional athlete division expects about 16 competitors from both countries. The competition aims to foster familiarity and trust among participants in a friendly atmosphere, opening opportunities for networks that may develop into future business collaborations.
This event offers Russian entrepreneurs a chance to explore Thai market demands, meet partners, and consider expansion strategies in Southeast Asia. Follow-up will focus on progress from negotiations regarding product standards, distribution, and cooperation agreements after the event.
