Mr. Sitidej Mailap, Chief Executive Officer of SKY ICT Public Company Limited, revealed that SKY ICT's growth over the next one to three years will depend on the expansion of Thailand's aviation industry and the opportunity to become an aviation hub in ASEAN, based on Thailand's readiness. The company is also expanding into new business opportunities, including robotics, humanoid robots, artificial intelligence, and satellite businesses.
“As a developer of Aviation Technology as a Service, SKY ICT believes in and is ready to support Thailand's advancement as an aviation hub in the ASEAN region, comparable to or replacing Singapore. Although Singapore is smaller, it handles more passengers annually, mostly transit travelers. In 2025, Singapore's Changi Airport processed 62 million transit passengers, while Thailand, a tourist destination with six international airports and 29 domestic airports totaling 35, served 60 million passengers.”
Mr. Sitidej stated that the government needs to increase the number of flights by offering incentives to airlines to add flights that stop in Thailand, making it a preferred transit point. With sufficient flights, passengers would not have to wait long for connections. Reducing the average layover time from 4-5 hours to 2-3 hours, as Singapore achieves, would make Thai airports a more attractive option.
He added that unrest in the Middle East could increase opportunities for Thailand because direct flights from Thailand to Europe, avoiding stops or layovers in the Middle East, are likely safer. Thailand should leverage this to attract passengers to choose flights originating from Thailand, by expanding airports for greater convenience and increasing Thai Airways' fleet as the national carrier.
Mr. Sitidej also reported that SKY Group's performance in 2025 reached an all-time high in both revenue and net profit, with total revenue of 10.248 billion baht, a 52% increase, and cumulative net profit of 773 million baht, up 61% compared to the same period last year.
“Part of this success comes from the aviation business, SKY ICT's main revenue source, which grew strongly aligned with tourism trends, especially in the last quarter of 2025, the high season for tourism. Passenger traffic increased by approximately 5-10% compared to 2024, significantly boosting revenues from biometric identification systems, check-in and ticketing systems (CUPPS), and the advance passenger screening system (APPS) across 13 airports nationwide. This growth continued into the first quarter of 2026, with Chinese passengers increasing by 30% during the recent Chinese New Year compared to the previous year.”
Additionally, the company’s subsidiaries performed well, including Metthier Company Limited, specializing in smart facility management technology; Pro Inside Public Company Limited (PIS), providing comprehensive ICT system integration services; and investment in SKY CC Company Limited, which operates a contact center enhanced with AI to improve competitive capabilities.
