Asia Plus Group Holdings Public Company Limited (Asia Plus) announced the appointment of Dr. Krit Panichphant as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective from 1 October 2026, succeeding Dr. Kongkiat Opaswongkarn, who is set to retire.
Dr. Krit steps into the role during a pivotal period of transformation in the securities business. He will lead efforts to strengthen Asia Plus's core brokerage business, focusing on market leadership, enhancing customer service, applying technology, and boosting profitability, alongside accelerating growth in wealth management and offering more advanced and diverse investment products.
Dr. Krit is highly experienced and specialized in investment banking, having worked with leading financial institutions domestically and internationally. Currently, he serves as Managing Partner and co-founder of ARC9 Capital, a leading private equity firm in Southeast Asia.
Charlie Soponpanich, Chairman of Asia Plus, stated that the brokerage business remains a key part of Asia Plus. "Our commitment is to elevate this business to be more competitive, innovative, and profitable, while expanding capabilities in wealth management and offering sophisticated, diverse investment plans. Dr. Krit is well-prepared and highly suitable to lead these two main objectives," he added.
Mr. Charlie added that the group currently has a strong capital base, ready to invest in personnel, technology, and new opportunities to foster long-term growth and good returns.
Dr. Krit said he feels greatly honored to be entrusted with leading Asia Plus into its next phase of growth and is ready to work closely with management and all staff to strengthen the brokerage business and deepen customer relationships.
He also aims to expand the company group's financial and investment solutions to be more comprehensive and better meet client needs.
