Kiatnakin Phatra Reports H1 2026 Net Profit of 4.078 Billion Baht, Up 65% YoY

Kiatnakin Phatra Bank, Ltd., and its subsidiaries reported a net profit of 2.122 billion baht in the second quarter of 2026, marking a 50.6% increase compared to the same period last year (YoY). This growth was primarily driven by expansion in core business income as well as a rise in non-interest income, including wealth management business revenue, income from Dime!, and other sources.

Regarding its core business, the loan portfolio strategy remains cautious, focusing on loans with appropriate returns and high quality. As a result, total loans as of Q2 2026 increased by 3.1% compared to the end of 2025.

In Q2 2026, the bank also considered writing off long-outstanding non-performing loans (NPLs) in the small business segment and set aside total expected credit loss provisions of 970 million baht (including the loan write-offs).

For the overall performance in the first half of 2026, the bank reported a total net profit of 4.078 billion baht, up 65% YoY. This growth aligned with the Q2 2026 results, supported by non-interest income streams such as wealth management, Dime! revenue, fund management fees, and insurance brokerage commissions.

The key details comparing the first half of 2026 to the same period in 2025 are as follows:

  • Net profit was 4.078 billion baht, an increase of 65% YoY.
  • Net interest income stood at 8.545 billion baht, decreasing by 2.4% YoY.
  • Non-interest income amounted to 5.041 billion baht, growing 49% YoY.
  • Operating expenses totaled 6.461 billion baht, down 7.3% YoY.
  • The cost-to-income ratio was 43.3%.
  • Total loans with credit impairment, or non-performing loans (NPLs), as of 30 June 2026 were 12.720 billion baht, a 14% decrease from the previous quarter.
    The NPL ratio (non-performing loans to total loans) was 3.6%.
  • Total expected credit loss provisions amounted to 18.550 billion baht.
    The coverage ratio (provisions to non-performing loans) was 150.7%.
  • Total loans as of 30 June 2026 were 354.075 billion baht, an increase of 3.1% from the end of 2025.
  • The capital adequacy ratio (BIS ratio) stood at 15.42%.
