
At the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Stock Exchange of Thailand on 15 July 2026, a resolution was passed to appoint Benjarong Suwankiri as Deputy Managing Director and Chief Strategy & Finance Officer, effective from 1 October 2026.
Assadech Kongsiri, Director and Managing Director of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), stated that SET believes Benjarong Suwankiri will be a key force in developing and formulating business strategies that enable the organization to keep pace with changes by driving operations in strategy, finance and investment, and sustainable business development.
Benjarong's experience in government policy and working with both public and private sectors in finance and investment will be highly beneficial in advancing the SET’s strategic direction. This includes coordinating cooperation with various sectors and supporting the development of the Stock Exchange and capital markets.
Benjarong Suwankiri has over 17 years of experience in finance and banking, covering corporate strategy, credit business strategy, finance, business development and sustainability, and digital banking.
His career includes roles at TMBThanachart Bank Public Company Limited, the Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM BANK), and serving as Assistant Minister of Finance.
Prior to joining the Stock Exchange, his latest positions included Board Member of the Board of Investment (BOI) and Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Economics and Mathematics from the University of San Francisco, and a master's and doctorate in Economics from Cornell University, USA.
