How to Maximize the Last 2 Days of “Khon La Khrueng Plus” Usage: Hurry Up! Food Delivery Deadline Approaches

The countdown is on with just 2 days left in 2025 for Thais to use the “Khon La Khrueng Plus” subsidy. After this period, remaining balances in the Paotang wallet will be reclaimed by the government. On 30 Dec, the Cabinet emphasized urgency, noting that 6 billion baht still remains in the system, with 13 million users still able to spend.

With such limited time remaining, how should one plan to maximize the benefits? Thairath Money has summarized the key points here.

Checklist: What to buy with 800 baht

First, the conditions. “Khon La Khrueng Plus” provides a government subsidy covering 50% of actual spending, capped at 200 baht per day. This means that over the final two days, 30–31 December 2025, you can use a total subsidy of 400 baht (anything above that is not covered).

Therefore, the total spending you can make is 800 baht. It's time to list what you need to buy, for example:

• Purchase necessities or daily essentials such as soap, shampoo, detergent, face masks, etc.
• Buy food and treats for New Year celebrations, including fresh ingredients for cooking.
• Stock up on long-lasting items like dried goods, instant noodles, canned fish, and rice.

Of course, you can spend more than 400 baht per day, but amounts exceeding that will not receive the subsidy and must be paid fully out of pocket. To maximize value, aim to spend exactly 400 baht per day to get the full 200 baht discount.

How to check if you are among those with remaining funds in the 6 billion baht pool?

Everyone can check their remaining “Khon La Khrueng Plus” balance via the Paotang application by selecting the “Khon La Khrueng Plus” menu, where two summary points appear.

• At the top, you’ll see the total entitlement for the entire program, capped between 2,000–2,400 baht (higher amounts apply for certain taxpayers), showing how much remains.
• Below that is the balance available for use on the current day.

Where can you use the subsidy?

1. In-store purchases Simply scan the QR code and pay immediately, whether at a grocery store, fresh market, or restaurants participating in the program. If you encounter issues paying, check that your mobile device’s location permission is enabled before scanning.

Important condition: Payments must be made by 11:00 p.m. on 31 December 2025.

2. Online orders via delivery apps Such as Grab, ShopeeFood, LINE MAN, and Robinhood. For convenience, you can access these through the Paotang app by selecting “Use Khon La Khrueng subsidy via food delivery,” choosing the platform, then ordering food directly.

Important condition: The government only subsidizes the food cost; delivery fees must be paid in full by the user. The subsidy can be used until 9:00 p.m. on 31 December 2025.

A helpful tip: some apps allow you to pre-order food for future delivery. If you’re full today, you can place an order to be delivered on another day but pay now to utilize your subsidy before it expires.
