Bitcoin prices rose again, soaring to $90,000 per BTC in the past 24 hours after President Donald Trump delivered a keynote speech at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.
Donald Trump signaled a relaxed stance on the Greenland issue, stating that negotiations would occur soon. Shortly afterward, he posted on the social media platform Truth that he had consulted with NATO and that a framework for a future deal related to Greenland would be established.
According to a CNBC exclusive interview with Trump, he said that after discussions with Mark Rutte, Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), he decided to cancel the planned punitive import tariffs on Europe, which were originally set to take effect on 1 February.
Trump posted a full statement on the Truth platform, saying that talks with the NATO Secretary General were constructive and led to a comprehensive framework agreement covering not only Greenland but the entire Arctic region.
He stated that if the agreement is realized, it would greatly benefit both the United States and all NATO member countries. He also confirmed that based on this mutual understanding, he will not proceed with the tariff measures originally scheduled for 1 February.
In the cryptocurrency market, although digital asset prices fell sharply last week due to geopolitical uncertainties, Bitcoin has recently rebounded, regaining a level above $90,000, up 2.2% from the day's low. Meanwhile, gold, which recently hit a new high near $4,900 per ounce, has started to weaken. The US stock market also surged immediately as investors began to ease their concerns.
