Amid ongoing pressure from the prolonged global energy price crisis that has continuously driven up consumer goods costs, the Democrat Party, led byDr. Karun Dee Liao-Pairoj, the party's deputy leader, has launched a platform called “Jabta.” This platform is designed to enable the public to participate in monitoring product prices and irregular market behavior in real time.
The “Jabta” platform is designed to operate via Line OA, a platform familiar to Thai users, allowing immediate reporting of abnormal prices, stockpiling activities, and location-based information. All data are displayed on a dashboard that shows nationwide price movements in real time.
Dr. Karun Dee revealed that the Jabta platform is a digital tool that transforms citizens from being merely affected parties into "co-monitoring participants" who provide real-time feedback on issues through a civic engagement mechanism that trusts the power of data and the public voice.
Moreover, the Jabta platform functions not only as a price reporting map but also as an early warning sign that enables timely detection of price hikes and stockpiling irregularities across all areas of the country.
Additionally, data from the platform will be analyzed to formulate "targeted support" policies, focusing especially on low-income groups, SMEs, and farmers who are most affected. The Democrat Party will open an API connection so relevant government agencies can use the data to oversee price controls transparently and for the greatest benefit of the people.
